I dont see how anyone could have thought that one would have been available for awhile.

I ordered mine during a meeting at work on my phone (tried to make it look work related :lol), because i knew it was not going to last.

I plan on getting this one as soon as it comes up but without production numbers it's not going to be a Mark VI promo. I have read a lot comments on people planning on buying and trying to flip it for a high price.

Imagining you nodding your head to your boss while nervously clicking PLACE ORDER a dozen times. :clap

I did that exact thing for Secret Project. Good Times!:yess:

Alternative:

Stick with your plan now and get the pristine version.
Then later find yourself going through this thread again and rationalize buying the BD version as well.
Problem solved and you can pat yourself on the back for "trying" to have some self-control. :hi5:

I didn't buy the pristine MKVII though I eventually intended to, so the dilemma is which would I buy now that there's the Battle damaged version?
Between the two, the BD version is the most interesting looking because it tells a story....
but because I own Capt. America, and will own Black Widow and Loki next month, I'd have to go with the Pristine Iron Man Mark VII for my shelf.

Yeah I've done that in the past.
I could get the BD version for display with Loki or the other BD armors.

Figure looks great here. Lets erase that bad picture from before!

Figure actually looks badass even though its a cash grab.

I couldn't help but laugh at "It is a movie promo edition which will be exclusively limited to WORLDWIDE" :lol

I'm curious as too how many figures they'll be releasing since Hong Kong is only getting 800.

The problem is HT doesn't ever give out a normal figure's edition size. For all we know 800 could be the same, slightly below, or even more than a standard edition size in Hong Kong. Is releasing that specific number that is making this 'limited' and everyone wants it now. :lol

Between the two, the BD version is the most interesting looking because it tells a story, though I do like the pristine version. But the thing is, the BD version will look out of place with the other Avengers figures because they're not all jacked up. Looking at the shelf you'd have to ask yourself, why is this one guy beaten to $**t but the other guys look like they just came from the locker room?

If I didn't have any of the other Avengers I might have picked up the BD version (though, it might be cool to picture IM getting his *$$ handed to him by a barely sweating Loki, Thor, Wolverine, or Hulk) but because I own Capt. America, and will own Black Widow and Loki next month, I'd have to go with the Pristine Iron Man Mark VII for my shelf.

To be fair, Iron Man was already fairly beat up by the time the rest of the gang showed up and they do their circle spin shot.

Proportions actually look a little worse on this compared to the standard MK VII pics from what i've seen

I think it's due to all the panels being removed on this one.
IM lost a lot of bulk. :lol

HT knows that if they included the replulsor arm everyone would buy it, even if they P/O'd the regular VII. Brilliant

True. :monkey2 Like I said before, they really seem to have hired a damn good
psychologist marketing team.. :lol

why is the POD not included in any version of the VII?

Die-cast MK VII will have it, no doubt. :thud:

I've got two armours left.

One is doing a repulsor pose and the other is in a ground punch ;)

Maybe HT should do a limited non-articulated 'waiting for the bus' pose series for people to put in the HOA :lol

PSS - Power Stand Series

So Tony Stark's pants size is 28 waist x 46 Length?

I wouldn't be surprised.

I actually like the HoA pieces. I would actually get them if they cost less, say 60 bucks. I would just rather spend the 110 to 120 a piece these go for towards another figure.

They are nice for sure, just not something I would pay that much for, when I can get another Mark or mms for the cost ot just 2 or 3 of the HoA's.

Yeah, I'm not getting the HoA cause of this. It looks really great, just not
best use of resources, imo.

They didn't pose the figure well to begin with. :lol That repulsor arm
needs to have the elbow pointed outward. Just looks awkward..

It does not say only 800, just the 1st 800 will be in HK.

I think (i could be completely wrong) after the initial 800 is sold in HK then it opens up and everyone "worldwide" can buy this including a lot more collectors in HK.

Assuming the new Mark 42 pics that surfaced are indeed die cast as everyone is speculating what are the chances this get done in die cast ?

It was stated in a magazine that a Diecast Mark VII will be out.

Of course OMG could have just been trolling us all :lol

This must be the first time any figure had two confirmed variants before the first version was released. As much as I enjoy the Iron Man figures, and i'll be picking up both plastic Mark VII's, I do wish they'd space them out a bit more. HT's Facebook page looks oddly like the Iron Man Facebook page with Leslie Cheung thrown in for good measure...

:exactly:

I don't really mind them milking the line but I wish they worked on their timing. I'm pretty sure the official announcement for the Mark 42 will be in a week or so. Meaning 3 Iron Man figures have been announced in the past month alone.
