I think that display looks boring as P-H-U-C-K. No poses . . . just statues in grey plastic boxes. :sleep

The HoA display has to be one of the dullest, most static ways to show off a figure designed to express dynamic action.
Why not just buy some polystone piece?
Why waste money on articulation?

:goodpost:

I never got the attraction of the HOA. Or atleast buying these cool figures and displaying them in such a boring manner.

But they're just standing there as empty shells :cuckoo:
Mine are just standing on my shelf with a simple pose. I'm not hanging them from extension cords battling each other in mid air.

I get why people view it as a dull thing but like I mentioned before, it's a neat little display case. Most people have these figures in a simple museum pose anyway. I personally think this thing would look nice in a Besta Shelf with the Tony Stark figure in front of all 7 of them.

Again, personal taste. :panic:

I've got two armours left.

One is doing a repulsor pose and the other is in a ground punch ;)

Maybe HT should do a limited non-articulated 'waiting for the bus' pose series for people to put in the HOA :lol

Look at his lower lip.

They have a cotton ball-stuffed Don Corleone look to them.

"Jowls" can mean cheeks or the jaw (especially the lower jaw).:pow

____

Wow, wrong again. Jowls, as everyone else on the planet considers them, are overworked m. masseter muscles and have nothing to do with the muscles around the lower lip, puffy or otherwise (and they don't look puffy on the sculpt, is the blood on his left lower lip confusing your observation? It might also just be a photoshop anyway). So you can't say a word about his 'jowls', sarcastically or otherwise, because you can't see them.

I'm not trying to be antagonistic but when you clearly are AND you're wrong, I feel obliged to let you know :wave

:exactly:

I never understand why folks here feel the need to criticize how others pose their figures. We pose our figures how we feel is best for our display...so who should care how it's displayed beside the individual collector :dunno

Well........................I think........................It could be................ nah I got nothing.

Probably the same reason people argue with collectors about their purchasing habits. :cuckoo:

The above photos of the Hall of Armour actually turn me off it.

Not because the armours look boring, but because the hall units themselves look bland.

Looks nice here:

so what you're saying is its emulating the movies perfectly then.

what the heck do people expect from something that only housed standing armors in the source material :cuckoo:

The point has escaped you as well: why place an articulated figure capable of dynamic poses in a static box display?

As a backdrop? Sure.
But a 2D printed sheet could achieve the same effect.

The whole point of a poseable figure is to depict action, as opposed to an empty suit on a hanger in a closet.

Your mileage may vary.

I agree. The point has escaped YOU! It doesn't matter if its an articulate figure or a statue. If someone buys something with their own money,

THEY CAN POSE IT AND DO WITH IT WHATEVER THE #$%& THEY WANT!

Just because YOU think it should be posed in an action pose because its articulate, doesn't mean everyone else needs to think the way you do. If you're willing to pay for my figures, then I'd be glad to pose them how you want them posed. :wave

No one's stopping them.
Just as no one's stopping anyone from posting their opinions.
Get over yourself, squint.
Everyone else has!

I'm not trying to be a wannabe cop but when you're wrong, I feel obliged to split hairs to no end

FTFY

(see above, and jowls does refer to cheeks and jaw. Sorry!)

Basically you have no right to tell people what they should be doing with what they buy with their money the fact you've been told this in the past and still persist with this argument means you're either stupid or out to intentionally antagonise.

I couldn't care less if these figures had so much articulation I could roll them up into a little ball I'll display them how I want and I wont be criticising anyone who chooses to do otherwise and unless your intention is to be a **** then you shouldn't either.

How old are are you Gully? 12? Calling people names and constantly creating contention.

And I'm pretty sure you don't speak for ANYONE else in the thread. Last I check, not many people were agreeing with you.

So while I'm fine with myself, as badA## as I am, maybe its you who need to get over yourself.
