Die, I love that Optimus Prime. I attempted a battle damaged Optimus a while ago but it looks no where as cool as yours. You put some pretty good detail on him. Great work.

Here's my latest...


It's Jodo Kast from Star Wars (Expanded Universe). Based loosely on the character from the comics anyway.

He's on a Dragon body with Stormtrooper, Boba Fett & Clone Trooper armor. This one was fun to make too. He has custom bunty hunting tools that fit in the pockets on his legs much like Boba has.

Pretty much all I know about the character....

Jodo was a Boba Fett imposter who wanted to gain credibility as a bounty hunter. I first heard on him years ago on the Playstation game: Star Wars Masters of Teras Kasi. I've googled up pics up him and seen many representations of him & figured it would be a fun figure to make without having to make him 100% "accurate" to the character.

It was fun to make this one and he has a pretty cool story.

Great custom of Jodo Kast! I'm a BIG fan of both Boba Fett and Jango Fett. I made my own custom Boba Fett from my old Kenner electronic Boba Fett, and I bought the 12" deluxe Jango Fett set when it came out when Attack Of The Clones did in theaters. Very cool! I love the look of the Mandalorian armor, and all of the weapons and gear. I also enjoyed the mystery of who was under the helmet. It really added to the cool msytique of the Boba Fett character. But it is good to know now that he looks just like his Dad, Jango. So that's why I went with a Jango custom head for my custom Boba Fett.

I was happy for you to see that both of your AWESOME figures of Blain and Mac sold well recently on eBay! Man, I wanted those! I bidded on both of them and got outbid. I hope to make them someday, especially Blain! I appreciate any advice you can give me on making my own custom Blain..and Mac 12" figures! Thanks! I do recall you telling me you used one of those Jesse Ventura 12" as a base for Blain from when he was the governor of Minnesota. Thanks again. Where did you find his gear, clothing and that great "minigun"? Let me know! Thanks again!

Also, die, what did you use for the tubing coming out of your Jodo Kast's gauntlet on his right arm for his flamethrower? I need to add the tubing like that to my custom Boba Fett. Let me know. Thanks again!

You should definitely give the Ventura custom a try! I used the head from the Governor Ventura figure (I used a 21st C body, ditch the Governor body as it's basically crap). I used some faux fur for the hair, a bandana from an SOTW figure (but you could easily make your own just as good). I used some brush on gloss acryl on the hair & face to make it look sweaty. As for the gatling, there's a BBI set that you can find at most TRU stores on clearance and it has that gun in it. The rest of the gear is pretty easy to find, I think the clothes & hat are from one of the Power Team sets.

The tubing on Jodo's gauntlet came from one of those headset walkie talkie things from Dragon. You know, where it's an earpiece connected to a walkie talkie. I just cut a piece of it & sprayed it with dullcote.

My Ventura is in "mid-bash" but you might also think about using a SOTW super articulated body. Poseable and big in the chest kind of like Jesse.
I'm also working on Billy. We'll see how that one comes out.

Yeah, that super-articulated SOTW body does work well for Ventura as well, I used it on the first Blain that I made. I've made several versions of the whole squad. Here's my Billy in these pics:

I'm hoping I can get some better pics of that Luke over the weekend. My pics of him never really turned out good, it makes his eyes & hair look way darker than what they are in person.
