This is just the beginning... :lol

I don't mind, I like Iron Man. Just wish they wouldn't forget about their other announced projects.. Seems like whenever there's a blockbuster around the corner, like TA, TDKR and now IM3.. They drop everything else on the floor and put in all of their efforts to those blockbusters.. I can't blame them, they are a business, not a charity.

Your right they are a business. I see them making anything the main suit for the time. But then again how much screen time can any one suit really have in a 100/120 movie?

Just a clarification about this item and it's classification on this forum.

This is in 1/6 scale and is complementary to your HT 1/6 action figures. Just as we would put the Hall of Armor displays in this section, thus the power pose series could be considered part of the HT 1/6 action figure line.

You know it's not even close to being done.

They'll show the new and improved War Machine 2.0 with Rhodey head as well as Iron Patriot and Mandarin. Hell, aren't there Marks we haven't even seen?

Ain't seen nothing yet.

I wish I could go back in time and drop baby Kevin Feige off in some third world country where he had no hope of ever making movies, then maybe we wouldn't have any of this ****. ****, I'm a DC fan, anyway, so what would I have cared if all we got was the Fox garbage?

really not seeing an issue here. its a new line separate from the 1/6 scale that they have been known for making. its not meant to complete with anything else they are doing...its just a branching out of what specialty markets ht's can cater too.

statues not your thing? dont buy it...no one is forcing you to "like" vinyl statues or busts.

they know there is a movie right around the corner and are striking while the property hits a new spike and resurgence. every company that makes merchandise does this.

whats the big deal here? :huh

Considering how the prices of the figures keep rising, I can already see this happening for some people.

Statues aren't that bad (or perhaps in this case it's actually more or less correct to call it a Scale Figure). I think people are overreacting on this because they can't wait for the actual figure to come out (or they just want other releases). With the IM line growing so big and more expensive by the numbers, all I see is that IM fans are simply getting a bit more variety, and I find that there's nothing really wrong with that.

I love statues. I actually prefer them to 1:6th figures so this tempts me for that reason. I have the Mark VII on order but its $250 and basically running as much as my The Lord of the Rings statues. That is a bit of an issue for me.

If he wasn't making it, someone else would.

And I don't remember seeing any complaints from you about "same old crap" when Hot Toys pumped out Batman crap month after month last summer. Weren't vehicles, Gordon, Cosbabies, Joker, 1/6 and 1/4 Batman, Bane and Catwoman shown almost simultaneously, week after week?

Iron Man > Batman

Bias much. :rotfl

As long as for each PPS figure they do, there is an MMS figure, i don't care.
but if they reserve certain things specifically for PPS then i'll be slightly annoyed but get over it sooner or later and pull my wallet out :slap

I meant companies focus more on profitable market segments,
while they weed out unprofitable customers who are too costly to serve
in the long run.

Just some stuff I'm lifting from this Marketing101 book I'm reading. :lol

Hot Toys is weeding you out, Nova.

As for this line, I won't be collecting it. I don't need Power Ranger Poser figurines. My 1/6 articulated figures make me happy and I don't see the need to collect yet another series that I'm not going to need.

Ok, I freaking LOOOOOVE the Puss in Boots movie, and my 6 year old Son and I do this "OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH" to eachother all the time.

Needless to say, I nearly spit macaroni and cheese all over my computer screen just now.

Thank you.

Still chuckling.

I wouldn't be complaining if that same old crap wasn't so disappointing (the only one I'm completely satisfied with is The Joker, and, subsequently, that's the only one I'm getting).:lol You're telling me you wouldn't rather see the Returns stuff that the bazillionth Iron Man? Also, it'd be different if Iron Man fans hasn't gotten anything in a while, but, for God's sake, there were three different ones for The Avengers alone (not to mention the Gantry and the Monger).

Now we've got to see more? Also, just to set the record straight, if we were seeing the stuff you mentioned (Mandarin, Patriot, Mark etc.), I wouldn't have as much of a problem, but this is ****ing ridiculous, and it makes the super-milked Nolan Batman line look like a lightweight in comparison.

I'm not the only one, they're weeding out nearly everyone who wants/buys things that aren't from ACU, Batman and Predator.

If only they didn't announce they're making them, then we wouldn't expect them :dunno

EDIT: Can anyone remember what was the last line to pass 2 figures that wasn't one of them?

_______

So will this power pose series extend beyond iron man? Perhaps to well Batman i guess :lol

The whole 60s Batman line will consist of only Power Pose figures doing the bat dance.

No need to get worked up over it though. Aside from being a cheaper display alternative, I'm sure lots of statue/scale figure collectors out there wouldn't mind this one at all. If it's not your cup of tea then why even bother? No point complaining about something that was never going to appeal to you in the first place.

I don't get this thing...are they making a regular HT figure of this as well? Easy pass, i'll just wait for the statue if SSC ever decides to do it...

Don't ooooh me; you ***** more than I do. Go back to obsessing over the Ani-Com pics of Professor X. :nana:

I will if you go back to obsessing of the pics of Arkham Joker :lol

My HT addiction is broken, i look at all these batmen and iron man milkathons rather funnily now. It used to be that people get excited and buy a figure, but now they're getting people to buy the same figure just in 1/4th & 1/6th in a static pose and made of die cast.

And the funniest thing is some suckers will fall for it :lol
