BLACK WIDOW DOWN!!!

Add me to the list of Widows with a separated right leg.

Right foot doesn't fit base

Also as regular edition, serial number on shipper did not match the box/base.

The split went right across the square peg. It was not reinforced by a metal shaft. Since is the leg that is put in the base, it should have had a metal shaft. Which would also have help it survive shipping. I had to break the glue joints on both belts to shimmy the bodysuit down.

Seems to be a design flaw in the shipping box. This has happened to far too many at this stage.

Got the email today & I was declined a replacement body because the magnet imperfection was "considered common".

This is the first time, I'm clearly PO with SSC. Wrote back to them if this is acceptable, then I want an exchange for it. I've CC Mike Tolentino on this and hopefully they would do it.

Well, despite BW being at the local Fedex depo very early yesterday morning they decided not to deliver her until today. Seriously it took longer to get the 300km from Sydney to my place than it took to get from Cali to Sydney :monkey2

I was sweating bullets opening her up for fear of the dreaded leg-gate incident :monkey1 but was relieved to find her legs and accessories intact.

The paint app on the face has not been done justice in any of the pictures I have seen. It is so much better than it photographs. The paintwork around the fingers is a little sloppy though with skin coloured paint getting on the gun grips. Luckily that's not what people will be looking at. The base is really solid too. I was surprised at how heavy and thick it is. Looks fantastic too.

Unfortunately I'm between places as my new place is under construction so back in the box (carefully) she went. When I move this one is going to be hand moved by myself. I'm not risking a breakage given how fragile and how bad the packaging is.

Overall I'm really happy with this piece and glad I got it. :yess:

Mine was delivered at work today and the box is now standing (unpacked) next to my desk. Don't really know if I'm looking forward to bringing it home and opening it.

Mine is broken in 2 places too
not strong enough and the styrofoam is not well designed too!

Well Sideshow ask me to choose between a replacement or a 50$ coupon

I first try to see if it is reparable:
I managed to move the bodysuit until the ankle to access the damaged part, thanks it is quite elastic!

I added a brass peg and some mastic used to repair cars which is much stronger then just cyano!

I used cyano to glue the bodyuit back on the leg and I used the same mastic to fix the foot back in place...
And now Scarlett is in good shape again, you can't see the repairs, so I will go for the 50$ coupon from Sideshow :D

I think that the quality is fine on BW...having said that the design of the packaging leaves a lot to be desired.

There have been small percentage of collectors experiencing problems with damage...but when you consider the number of exclusives (500), that percentage gets bigger.

Sideshow reads these boards and hopefully they'll improve the quality on future packaging.

I really feel bad for everyone receiving a damaged statue and I hope that Sideshow Customer Service remedies your issues fast.

what's the issue with your magnet? the magnet on both hands were very weak for mine also, but they held so i let it go.

The foam cut out on the leg does not aligned with the body. On mine, it's smaller.

The packaging is definitely a contributor to the damaged legs. But the factory should have pinned the leg at the boot and the thigh. These statues used to have pins at the joints. Now they are cutting corners again.

Got mine unbroken!!! The KFC Bucket worked! 66/500.

Instagramized.
