Are people still having problems with the paint coming off the face on these latest batches? I'm picking up mine tomorrow and I'm wondering about this.

Does he also still have the longer leg problem?

This is a pretty cool looking fig, but im sticking to 1/6 as i think its too big a scale, so i hadnt gone into this thread. The QC issues really amaze me though and so close to MIB 3 problems. What seems odd is that some seem to be completly fine. Does EB use different build locations?

Picked this up today and all I can say is this Enterbay Bill must be laughing all the way to the bank, what a piece of garbage this thing is. Problems include Sticky paint on face, one leg longer than the other, broken ankle so the foot doesn't lay flat, scratches on base, one arm moves slightly and the other doesn't move, the head is loose, the wire in the jacket is just loose in the bottom and is poking through the material and no articulation at the waste. People may think that a great sculpt and accessories makes a great figure but for €485 I expect this to be as close to perfect as possible as I know there is no such thing as a perfect figure.

The Batman figure wasn't much better as it had a buckled cowl and the spikes on the gauntlets were bent and the legs were different lengths also, I didn't even get as far as the base and accessories as by this time I'd had enough and didn't want to look any more. I am sorry if this has peed anyone off as I am sure there are people with good ones but this is my experience and I thought I would share it. I was debating whether to buy these figures since they came out and now my mind is made up and I won't be going near any EB figures until things improve.

I had the longer leg problem and the sticky paint.
The leg problem was an easy fix. The sculpt i had repainted for $55
Went for the whased-out look. No more sticky paint :-D Pics don't do it justice.

Whats the deal with the "Sticky paint"?? Is it the type of paint used, oTHe material of the head??

It's a chemical reaction to the plastic they used on the head, parts of the batman figure are the same if you try and paint them

Thanks. Yeah, The eyes are usually drawn to the Bigger scale stuff. If I ever get around to getting some detolfs, I would want to put one Hot Toys figure per shelf. Give each piece some room to shine on their own since like you said they are expensive.

1 per shelf is the way to go. That's how I have/had mine displayed. It really makes them shine if you have the right lighting set up.

Ya, it's a shame that EB have a lot of QC issues. I've personally paid the extra to go with Timcent88 on Ebay. He charges more but seems to get better batches of figures. I bought the HD Bruce Lee and it came perfect. I'll probably do the same with Joker.

I think the common consensus around the board is that if you get it from EB direct, the QC and customer service is poor. It's a real shame since at this price point you are talking high end. You can buy custom statue's for that price.

I wouldn't even muck around, I'd just send mine straight back.

The QC issues this piece and the Batman have are a damn shame. This one, especially. I feel lucky that I got one without issues.

Well, I for one am very happy I opted for this one instead of the new Hot Toys DX.

Just seeing it turned out now and I genuinley think the Enterbay is a better likeness and I much prefer the materials and over all shape too.

What are your thoughts chaps?

I have both and I do have to agree with you the Enterbay version is a bit better. But each figure has its own great qualities, they're both great pieces.

Oh yeah! The DX is great too. All them gubbins you get makes for a great bang for your buck.

Well you can put these on your lap and really get to see all the details and you can pose it without it being a mini workout.

I love statues too but I always found myself just getting them and displaying them and rarely going back for a second or third detailed gander.

I'm not religious but.. my gooood those are some damn good pictures!

Figure looks amazing in those shots, I've seen quite a few where I just didn't want anything to do with this figure. But as soon as I started seeing awesome pics like this I pulled the trigger on it and your pictures really makes me glad I did so!! Can't wait to receive it!

Such an amazing figure, shame I have to let mine go.

The head had sticky paint and tie got a red colour to it. I did contact enterbay but they said its an old figure now so they don't have anymore heads or ties to replace.

I actually find this figure more of a workout or maybe I'm just doing it wrong but just changing the hands takes me quite some time.
