Yeah I prefer the ball pegs too, IDK why HT have gone for this design of ankle joint. :dunno
For the ball joint you need more space in the "foot" that's in the shoe which would me that the shoe would've been too high and inaccurate again

Very nice set of pics however do NOT think the BR sculpt looks good with this

Would also like to point something out that has been fixed that some folks wined about in the proto.

They fixed the hair like at the front. In the proto, the hair line came to a point but they made it the proper round shape

Likeness is strong from the side:

coat however doesn't compare as well...

the coat looks fine for what it's worth. Maybe some futzing will make it look better.

The BR sculpt is so dated... can't stand up to DX12 side-by-side. The paint ends up looking flat and mushy.

The coat never looked 1:1 ever from anyone. This is 1:6 overcoat, the best we're going to get. It's always going to look off when right next to 1:1... just like every other figure.

Neither did Kato's in terms of the flare

I'm not hating on the coat, just don't think it compares as nicely as the head sculpt from that angle. I actually think this the best mass produced purple overcoat yet and will be pretty happy once it's in hand and weathered.

Yes your right on the BR headsculpt beeing dated, but its only on the paint aps, and regarding the coat, they couldn´t choose a better material for the coat, seriously V1, DX01, Kato custom & DX2.0:gah:

Wasn't directly pointed at but rather the folks that might of wanted to immediately say Kato's doesn do that :lol

I hate these style of footpegs. They provide the same range of mobility as the ball joints, but it's a lot more time consuming to pose them. You can't simply move the foot in any direction, you first have to turn the peg in the leg to the right place, and then angle the peg. Never liked that on the Predators. I never had problems that the ball joints were too loose (and I display everything without stands), and I wouldn't mind the shoes to be sculpted a bit higher to accomodate the ball joint either. Oh well.

:lecture:lecture:lecture

Ball joint foot legs wouldn't work for an accurate shoe. The ankle of the shoe would've been too high and cup-like just as before

Yep. Coat looks ace.

People's expectations were ridiculously high if they thought it would be better. Tailoring on this looks stunning.

:exactly:

Original Kato coat itselft was what? $300? Whole clothing set @$700?

Yet here we get the whole clothing set for about $100-$150 given that the heads go for about $50-$60 each then add in the table, chair and light and the rest of the accessories not to mention the real fabric shoes and socks that also weren't included in Kato's set. All this for $275 or roughly $290 shipped? Sounds a lot better than $700 just for some clothes even if it means a slight drop in quality of the handmade one
