Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Ok...so we have our answer then...I cant believe I missed the Sword...Good eye Snad...I bet it's the way I described and Thrain was alive and imprisoned all this time...plus it would have been in the first film if PJ had kept it to 2 films...probrably took place right after leaving Beorn's house leaving the 14 to dwell in the forest on their own...That first trailer was made over 6 months prior to the anouncement of the change from 2 to 3 films....:impatient:look forward to seeing it 51 weeks from now lol:impatient:

Yes I agree. I suspect Gandalf is going to investigate Dol Guldor himself and come to the conclusion who the Necromancer really is. Then the white council can kick some ass.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

I just saw it in 48 fps my second viewing. Weird, weird ****. :lol

The experience was just what I imagined. The CGI crap looked better though, but human actors looked ridiculous, especially at Bag End.

Told ya :lol

What did you think of the attack helicopters? :rotfl

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Did Vice get banned again? :lol

:lol

I wonder what he does to get banned? Theres always some over the top **** going down in threads, so I figure if you get banned you must have done something heinous... not to worry, I am sure we'll soon have a new member who posts "pretty much like he does". :wink1:

Oh, I never doubted anyone. I knew going in what to expect. :lol

Yeah, those location/landscape shots were pretty crazy. I expected to hear Ride of the Valkyries.

I hope so that it is a Battle at Dol Guldur involving the 5 wizards and Galadrial's Elves vs The Necromancer's forces at Dol Guldur....They could to a scene where Sauron Flees to Mordor before the fight, but I hope and believe that there will be a major battle ...THDoS will have 2 great battles I think...Dol Guldur and Battle of the Spiders...I hope...third film I think will have Smaugs battle and Battle of the five armies(Which I have hopes is the Best Battle ever filmed)

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

I keep thinking movie 2 will end with the battle with Smaug. I could be wrong, but that would make a more satisfying finale.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

I expect film 2 to end with the dealing with Smaug. Three will end like the book ends I suspect.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

I think the 3rd film will start out with the battle/death of Smaug and end with five armies battle,Gollum leaving his cave in search of Bagginses/ring plus showing Foundations of Barad-dur leading into LOTR( I hope!),2nd film starts at Beorns house and ends with Bilbo talking with Smaug and taking a piece of treasure out pissing off Smaug, Smaug leaves then Dwarves/Bilbo are now inside with all the treasure around them/Bilbo Finds ArkenStone...IMHO 2 major battles in each film...IMHO I hope:dunno...only 51 weeks more to go:impatient::impatient::impatient::impatient:

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

I believe one of those is second film and of them is in the third. The Gollum stuff and Barad-Dur I very much could see being slipped into film three. It is a long wait but we've got film one at least plus The Lord of the Rings to fill in the time. Plus there are a lot of what should be fun movies coming out.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Yeah I am pretty sure Smaug will be dealt with in the second film since it's, you know, named after him.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

If Smaugs death is in the end of the 2nd film then it will end IMHO with the Goblins of the North hearing about this and Bolg/Azog looking out from Mt Gundabad at the distance seeing Erebor and laughing or holding out his fist at it...JMHO and my imagination!..But I like it!

Yeah, I'll buy that. :hi5:

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread *SPOILERS*

For me personally I dont want Smaug dead in the second film but have the battle start the third...It's almost like killing Sauron in the TTT...and the film is really about Smaug being the bad guy

Not quite. The White council is Saruman, Gandalf, Radagast, Elrond and Galadriel. The two blue wizards are not part of the White Council.

The Elf lords (besides Elrond, Galadriel and Cirdan) were never named. I am guessing Legolas and the "made up" Tauriel will be here. I am hoping for Glorfindel who was robbed his role in Fellowship of the Ring.

In the book yes. But clearly PJ is setting up the Necromancer (aka Sauron) as the BIG BAD GUY. Smaug is small potatoes compared to him.

Maybe, but I dont think so...unless PJ puts it in the Story that it is the Necromancer that is in control and had Azog/Bolg and the Orc army Attack Erebor ...that would come out of left field...but so has alot in his films...It could happen

It's been awhile since I've read the book. Like nearly a decade. Is this necromancer character not in the book? Same with that pale orc, Azog or whatever?
