No it's already like that. It's a VERY cool bow, when you pull on the string the two pullies (I'm sure they're called something else, but I don't know) both rotate and when you let go of the string they rotate back and pull everything back into starting position.

They are called "cams".
It looks great. You can probably disassemble them and repaint the bow.
Bows are usually a dark colour for stealth reasons.

A few more photos of The Hawk with the new compound bow (with rotating cams, thankyouverymuch) on a white backdrop.

I think this bow will look really awesome with a new paint job. :yess:

I just went with the strap, much easier, the quiver was fiddly but after the first couple of arrows it was straight forward. cant quite get the arrow sitting nicely in the string though. any tips?

I sliced between the top to fingers in the left hand with a razor blade. Then you can tuck the back end of the arrow between the fingers like it would be in real life.

This is what I did, just make sure you have a sharp razor so it cuts easily, and go slowly. I also bought a 2nd hand from Toy Anxiety just so I'd have an uncut one as well:

Interestingly enough, I found a rather large copy of the image that Martyd has for his signature.....I'm not the bow expert here, but it looks to me like he has all of the feathers in his hand, instead of holding the very back end of the arrow? Is that right?

Also the front end of the arrow isn't down on the shelf. Might not be as big of a deal since the bow is tilted, but I would think you'd want the arrow on the shelf for accuracy?

Actually, most archers using a compound use a release aid(But given Hawkeye's speed with drawing, he wouldn't have time). Do a youtube search for "Carter release aid" and you will see what it is.
Your pics are looking great. That bow looks a lot better than the recurve(and has a lot faster arrow speed, making his distance shooting more believable).
Looking forward to any more pics.

Just curious, what is the shipping to Mars? ;)

Not much actually. Its to expected delivery of 2 to 6 years is the killer. :nana:

:lol :rotfl :lol :lol

Seriously funny, guys! Thanks for the laugh! :clap

Well, I unpacked the figure and geared him all up with the quiver and stuff. He's truly an amazing figure. I'd say the likeness is spot on!!

Can't wait to take some pics of this guy this weekend!! :rock :rock :rock

Finally managed to get my Hawkeye figure just right. Nice neutral pose.

Took entirely too long but I also managed to finagle him into an arrow firing pose.

All in all, very happy with this guy. Looks cool on the shelf. Bring on Captain America!

EDIT: Fixed the broken pics.

LOL, I posted something here last weekend about it I think....they had 20% off of everything. I picked one up and I think a couple of others here followed suit and now they don't have any more of them.

I'm going over to AZ for work next week and am going to drop in and meet the Toy Anxiety folks. And picking up a HT figure while I am there. :)

I am diggin' that compound bow! Are there any other ones out there floating around that you guys might know of? Besides the Zartan one?

I believe MOO Models made one (like a Rambo replacement or for a custom), check on EBay, if there's one out there for sale it should be on there; everything else that someone might be looking for usually is.;)
