Re: Hot Toys The Dark Knight: Batmobile - Tumbler (relaunch)

I cannot get the front wheel plugs out...driving me mad!!!!!!!!

Back off and take a pill. Remember that it costs over $550.00. In this hobby having a good set of pillars and sd sets will help.

The 60s batmobile I have never considered getting, the show was before my time and not one I have any nostalgia attached to.

I am old, though not that old I caught it in re runs. Its funny my oldest son loves the 89 batmobile, my youngest is a tumbler fan and I am a 66 batmobile fan

What a touching story, mate. :clap You made my day.

Re: Hot Toys The Dark Knight: Batmobile - Tumbler (relaunch)

I might pic up the 66 along with all the others just because if the show back then didn't do as well as it did, we wouldn't have the batman as he is today.

Im a 89 fan as well. Batman has many cars though so I also see it as another addition to the batcave. Which is why I decided to go ahead and start making flex payments on a tumbler.

Ah memories, as a kid in Cleveland. The auto show always had the 66 batmobile there. Or a duplicate? My dad would pay the $2.00 for a picture of me sitting in it. I do have a feeling I will buy this. The 66 batmobile.

Does anyone know where I can get some bright LED puck lights like the old IKEA Dioders? I can't seem to duplicate the color of white...I ordered so RGB LED puck lights but they are dimmer and have a bluer tint...

Yeah the 89' was my favorite until I saw the Tumbler. The Indianapolis World Of Wheels had the 89' Batmobile display and at that time they allowed you to get pictures inside the car. I still have those pictures but they are getting old and fading fast unfortunately. But I will always have the memories. I love the 66' but I just see that thing everywhere. I'm kinda burnt out on it lol

Needle nosed pliers. Done.

I tried needle nose pliers...trust me, I'm good on the tool inventory department LOL. I even tried rotating the wheels while doing it. I think the next step will be applying heat. I hate using tools on these things...especially in tight quarters like the front wheels. At this point, I'm not even sure why I want the plugs out...its just based on principle now.

Sounds like one of the few that were sent out with the plugs glued in place.
It's worthless now.
I'll give you $200 for it if you like...
:)

Sold...sucker...paypal info sent.

Re: Hot Toys The Dark Knight: Batmobile - Tumbler (relaunch)

so, I have a solution for the "cockpit gap"...
this is the best I can get my tumbler to look before the mod, and (sorry for the dust, finger prints and crappy shots jaja)...
this way...

or this way (wish is the best, and correct, acording to the manual) were you can see the inside of the tumbler... It really bothers me...

and all the pictures I have seen have it on one way or another...
so, I just unglued the 2 small flaps, they have just 2 small pins locking them into place with a small amount of glue, so it was very easy to pull out.

...after that, I just place the cockpit in the place I want it

and repositioned the flaps the way I like it.

then just reglued them on the new place...

and no more gap!!! it's now perfect to me (except for the silver rims, I'll work on them later :p)

ahhh, and this mod, also fix the "roof gap" that some of us have

It just take me 5 minutes...Hope I help those who this gap is making them mad.

Got my ship notice today! Should have this beast next week finally! :panic:

Re: Hot Toys The Dark Knight: Batmobile - Tumbler (relaunch)

UPS was supposed to deliver my Tumbler today. I checked the delivery status and it says that the driver made a delivery attempt at 5:37pm and no one was home.

One problem: It's BS. Not only was I at home, I was sitting outside on the porch with a friend, waiting for the UPS truck. I watched it drive by, and it never stopped. Screw UPS! I called and let them know that the driver is reporting false information.

If it's the usual driver that delivers my packages, I've been nothing but nice to the guy. I've had conversations with him before. If it's him, this is definitely not cool.
