Thats a really good use of parts! I love a hasblo -> haspro project :lol some of the hasbro parts look better than the ssc parts, I think SSC went cheap on accessories and paint apps due to the cost of a new body, then spread the cost across 2 releases. Worth it to get it though.

*shakes fist at US* mine cost £130, the average price for a figure here! - $206 lol

Yeah, the only SSC parts I bought were the fur, the belt (despite it being the wrong color!) and the undershirt. About $25 from Toy Anxiety. Used the hands and weapon from the purchased fig and cast its head. Everything else including body, legs, all Armor and leather vest is Hasbro (even the custom arms are Hasbro Bith legs!)

I'm going to give the Tamiya buff a go. You made that Gartogg look great! This looks like a still from the movie:

Thanks guys, glad I finally have a good camera for pics of these things!

Think this relates to the thread!

about 4 mins in from the end you see them making the real gamorrean outfits

I'd love some of those plasticine models they made lol

edit: interesting what he says about the 3 trilogies at the end!

Thanks swsquelquels, its just tamiya buff with a liberal amount of gryphonne sepia wash over it

Awesome job on those Gammys!

I think I might have to try something to cover the back of the head like you did.

I'm also thinking about picking up Gartogg and the archway environment now that I have the first creature pack.

I said its easy just because apart from the nose, it mostly involves just throwing the clothes in dirty paint water haha, I liked the gammys to begin with too tbh, just wanted the same vibe the 3"3/4 inch 1 I saw in a shop gave me!

Yea, I grew up with those original 3-3/4" figures. I would have thought that I wanted my SSC figs to be very similar to the originals from my childhood, but turns out I don't mind a new interpretation of what to me are classic characters. As long as they don't change the basic original designs, I am perfectly fine with the colorations/sculpts being slightly different from my childhood memories and/or the actual 3-3/4" figures that I loved and played with so much and are still sitting in my Vader and 3PO head-cases. That doesn't mean that custom paint-ups aren't incredible too though. Just one of the many reasons I wish I could paint and sculpt as well, like the awesome customizers on here.

^ We were actually talking about the new Hasbro 3.75" Vintage Collection Gamorrean figure earlier - it schools the SSC one. :lol

Much more accurate in every way just about - & a ton more articulated. :lecture

DONE! Thanks! I would have preferred the regular Guard, but for $60, this is the one going in my display!

So the archway is down to $99 at SS with Free Shipping and Gift Card Eligible, so I just got it for $75 shipped. Wasn't going to pull the trigger originally, but for that price, I couldn't pass it up.

Now I have some place to hang that snail guy!:yess:

Just got the environment piece in, for $75 its real nice.

Question; is there some trick to getting the lights to work, besides putting the batteries in and hitting the button? Mine doesn't seem to work.

Also, what's the general consensus on the best 1/6 Jawa?

Picked up a Gartogg as well, I'd convinced myself I didn't need two, but no way I could pass on a deal like that :rock
