Yeah i went with a TT with molded neck. I almost done with the base so i will post pics soon! Im def interested in seeing what you came up with for yours. The body swap was just the beggining you do realize that right :lol

Well I'm hoping to pump some new life into this thread. I just picked up this figure from the Bay for $300. I sold my Hot Toys 1989 Batman to pay for it, this is a figure that has intrigued me from the first time I saw it. And no matter how "accurate" the new Dr. Jones' may be, this thing screams charm, and from the box to the look screams adventure.

I'm not really sure yet. I have been opening all of my figures as of lately, however I KNOW this thing cannot be fully opened without destroying the packaging in some way. I don't really plan on selling it since I have wanted a good version of Indiana Jones for a long time.

I have mine in the box still too. It's one of the few things I'd grab if there was a fire. Just something about it. Almost like it was the first of its kind.

I've always wanted one, but never have pulled the trigger. With the prices on eBay now, it has been getting tempting.

:exactly:

I jumped at the chance to get mine since I KNEW once the prices dropped, they may move into circulation for a small time before the prices increase as they shift hands and settle into collections again. It really is something else, likeness and accuracy aside its more like a VERY well put together custom Indiana GI-Jones. People go nuts over the classic 12" line.

I bought mine right after "The last Crusade” and promised myself it would stay in a small plastic case with a custom diorama until they made another Indy movie, and it did to for close to a decade. So with that in mind I want to give anyone that buys one these this advice, the leather jacket will need looking after, don’t handle the Idol much (oils and friction from cleaning with rub the gold paint off), The Horse is not worth it (well at least a decade ago), the sand bag falls out of his hand unless you really stuff it in there.

Owning it, the Medicom, the Hasbro and the Hot Toys, the Sideshow one was the only one that just didn’t cut it for me. If I could pick it up for cheap I might would, but I’m talking cheap.

You sold it? Oh well, I'm sure you had your reasons.

If you're referring to me, no I didn't sell it. I cleaned it (it never did have much dust on it from being in the case) and packed it away. The Medicom I still have along with Dr. Henry Jones, the Hot Toys is displayed now, But the Hasbros are gone, only keep the 1/6 scale ARK, and I never had the Sideshow.

Well my Toys McCoy Indy has finally hit the front door. I am on the fence about what to do with him. On one hand I really think he is one of the better 1/6 (or 12") versions of the character and would love to display him with all his pieces together in my detolf; however I know that I will damage the wonderful box and ruin this marvel if I go that route.

Pleasantly surprised to find this at DragonCon over the weekend. In all honesty, I've never seen one in person, so I had to do a double take when I saw the front of the box. Great condition. I don't plan on opening him.

Great score? Do you mind if I ask what you paid?

I would love to score one of these some day.

The guy was asking $600. I paid $450. It's a little more than I wanted to pay, but I figured I wouldn't get it for any cheaper stumbling across it in person. I could have probably gotten it for cheaper on the Bay, but I really don't like to pay for high ticket items like this on the web because sometimes you just don't know what you are going to get.

Seems like a good price to me, especially with condition.
