Why does SSC pull this NRD crap now with every HT's, when they also know they always receive their stock last or at least two months behind everyone else! :gah:

Money, Money, Money........too many cancellations I suppose. Therefore, they ensure a sell or get something out of a cancellation.

No fee used to make them stand apart unless it is an exclusive not much difference than anyone else nowadays.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

And the others saying the price is too high? Are they the same :nana:

I recall people trolling the Spidey thread saying $205 was ridiculously high pricing, now this is $45 more and somehow it's not too high :slap

I was planning on selling my MKVI to get this, not so much anymore.

Others don't enter every ht marvel thread or hot toys thread moaning about those releases because they want theirs. So forgive me if I cringe a bit when I see your posts in a thread dealing with something I'm looking forward to. :peace

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Did anyone else have a hard time looking for FREE SHIPPING Mark VII on SS? The only way I found it was through a link posted here a few pages back. I just tried searching for it on the SS site and it would only direct me to EX version.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

NRD is annoying but become more and more the norm. It won't be long until all orders have NRD.

Hope it doesn't turn out that way. SS and BBTS are the 2 places I usually PO because of the no cancellation fee.

Not really free, considering you're paying $18 shipping when it's free on the regular.

Ok, I'll just look at it as paying the shipping cost for that tiny exclusive piece. Oh and you get that awesome sticker too on the box.

I didn't even think one was up until someone posted the link.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

I think SS is really trying to push those EX's out the door.

When I called Sideshow to change my order, the person seemed unaware there even was a non-exclusive. Once I found out I wouldn't lose the NRD if I canceled today, I just did it myself.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Wow I love the toy... But I may have a breaking point around the 220 mark. 250 might be beyond my desire... When the mark IV with gantry is 500 it's hard to justify 250 for the vii alone. Ive been excited about the release but we'll have to see if the bug is strong enough going forward.

HaHa! Same here!...I called, and she pretty much said the same thing, that I can just cancel it myself and re-order the non EX version without losing the NRD since it was placed only an hour ago (at that time)...no harm no foul.

Yeah, I had a hard time finding the regular version w/free shipping. If not for the link a few pages back, I wouldn't have even known it existed...

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Just imagine how much the MK8, that no one likes, will cost. I think Sideshow is doing a public service. It's making people think their purchases through better and focus their collecting. This way, no more sales threads of Superman and Jack Sparrow lol.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

To be honest, $250.00 seems about right. War Machine SV is $240.00, came out a while ago and has pretty much no accessories, so not sure how this is somehow an outrageous price hike. Personally, I don't like the Mark VII enough to pay that kind of cash for it (as I did for WM SV). For those that love the design, though, I think they'll be getting their money's worth considering the level of detail and how the price scales with similar releases.

Have to say, though, I can see why people will be getting priced out of lines like the Avengers or even Ironman, for those that feel they need to buy every single Mark that comes out. Really glad I have no interest in the Avengers line and only a passing interest in Ironman, as I can't see keeping up with all the releases in aggregate.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Sorry in advance for my mostly unrelated post. But when every PO goes up, we go through the same 10 pages of FREAKS COMPLAINTS, FREAKS BEING DEFENSIVE, FREAKS BEING UNRATIONAL, FREAKS BEING ILLOGICAL. Here is why I think it happens

I think HT collectors can MOSTLY fall into one of three categories.

1. - The Completest Fanboys. This is the fan of a particular license or licenses and they buy everything that HT produces. They rarely have a problem with price and hardly ever complain about anything. Except for those who complain about HT. They know the product is always perfect, but they are happy to get all they can of what they like.

2. The Majority HT Fan - This is probably the largest group here. They are both fans of some or fans of all licenses. The are both fan that can afford as much as they want and get what they want. And they are fan that can't afford everything, but mostly get what they want. These fan don't like everything that comes out but know these are great quality toys/collectibles. They occassionally complain, but its usually because they just want the best they can get.

3. The Wanna be Haters - this is the HT fan that can only occassionally afford an odd figure here and there. And they crap all over any and everything they can to make themselves feel better because they can get what they want and what. When something comes out they like, its priceless. When something comes out they don't like its worthless. Big time hypocrites and always disruptive.

Of course this is my opinion after a few years on this board ( I was just a backseat spectator for a year before I joined ). 95% of us can fit into one of these three categories. I'm sorry if you're in the 3rd group and are offended by any of this. But you bring plenty of unhappy moments to many people who fall into the other 2 categories. This forum is for 1/6 action figures and collectibles. And since it is a forum, everyone is entitled to post their opinions, just like I did here. But just like you're entitled to post your opinion, others are entitled to post theirs. I wish we could remember that this is a TOY/COLLECTIBLES forum and it should be lighted hearted. But some people go to far and take this to a personal level.

I am in the first category and am glad this went up for PO today. I ordered the EX the second Dave put the link up.:wave

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

$249.99!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please DONT tell me people can justify this price!

How ON EARTH can the price jump up SO much!

The Avengers Mark VI (Which i missed out on!) was ONLY $189.99!
So it cant be the avengers license right?
So how do they justify the extra $60 price hike?
oh gee, a couple of extra armour panels?! yeah right!

This has completely gotten to the stage of ludicrous!

And you can all sit there and say 'dont like the price dont buy it'. yeah well, with ____ like this Sideshow/Hot Toys is not only losing the sale for this item but for all future sales!

When will it stop? How much will the HULK be? $349.99?

How much will the next Iron man be? $299.99?

Im officially priced out of my love of this hobby.
Seriously pissed off!

Looking at SOME of the previous releases:

Mark IV $179.99
Mark V $209.99
Mark VI $214.99
Mark I 2.0 (not even out yet) $219.99
Mark VI Avengers $189.99
Mark VII $249.99!!

So tell me, how much more a complex design is the Mark VII over the Mark I 2.0 to make the price jump up $25??!!

Thanx for nothing SS/HT's! :pfft:

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

So expensive, but it's a relief that this figure comes for the next year, I can breath a just a bit.

Agreed! I got too many other Avenger figures I'm buying BEFORE X-mas! :panic:

^^^ Amen brother. HT just released an MMS figure at DX-tier pricing.

Yes we get it , some of you will pay whatever HT charges. Some of us are looking at the bigger picture of how long HT can keep raising the price. Last time I checked you need a constant flow of customers buying your product to stay in business. If the prices keep going up, people will start to buy less, or quit altogether. That is just an economic fact.
We don't all have the same income level and priorities. This isn't fuel or food we're talking about. Clearly some people seem to put this hobby on the same level as necessities.

Excellent post! I agree. :goodpost:

this one sure came loaded with stuff

Which is why it is a MUST buy for me! :exactly:

I too, am in the first category! I've been saving up since TA line was announced. I plan on getting everything HT produces too. Luckily the releases are spread out for me to make it all possible. :wink1:
