Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

I continue to believe that Berserker reduced in size because it was too top heavy. All those dreds plus the small feet with no ankle articulation at all. They had to shrink it. And Hulk should definitely be bigger than a Predator.

I was actually afraid HT would make Hulk too small, so Im happy with the size. Seems about the size of Iron Monger. When people think of Hulk they expect him to be giant. When they see this, their reaction should not be "....eh, hes nice" it should be "Holly $#!7 !! FRIKIN HULK !" Thats one thing this figure has going for, his visual presence.

The size is wonderful! After all, he is suppose to be the HULK! :thud:

The more pics I see, the more I loved this guy! :yess:

:rock:rock:rock

I'm pumped on this guy! Looks f___in' awesome. These are the first pics that I can see the seems clearly so I guess change out hands are for sure. I hope to hell there will be a second sculpt. But this one is killer. First good toothy sculpt so far.

Amen brother! Now bring on Banner too! :clap

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Agreed Id like to see his hair trimmed a little and his neck lowered a bit but Id rock that prototype hulk in my display any freakin day.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

The reason, I thank, has already been stated.

It's the good old 'trade-off' thing again. Devil's lowered head looks just how the HULK should look, but it will limit even more the articulation of a figure that - let's face it - is going to have limited articulation.

Whilst I am getting used to the idea that this is the only way that a figure like HULK can realistically be done, (rigid swap-out arms, swap-out hands, articulated head, shoulders, hips, knees, ankles) I still do not like the feeling of being almost forced into it by the limitations of material that is available to use.

If they only could include sculpted arms (and articulated of course) that just "clicked" into place and reduced/filled out the gaps between the body and the arms it would look so much better.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

IF they do swap out arms I'd quite like a pair of arms that have elbow articulation or just give him elbow articulation, they seem to have done a really nice job of the wrist/knee/ankle joint so far striking a good balance between form and function that i'm confident they could give us a working/decent looking elbow joint.

They could, but the whiner statue crowd would cry foul.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

3 sets of hard plastic interchangeable arms:
90 degrees flexed
45 degrees semi flexed
0 degrees relaxed

3 sets of hands:
fists
gripped
relaxed

4 head sculpts:
enraged
angered
smirked
calmed

Price set at $400 = bought!!!!

I like the way you think. Except for price. I would also include bent toe interchangeable feet as well so he can grapple with something huge and dig his feet into to ground.

I still say $300.00 but I'm just hopeful.

I would rather have plastic jointed arms than solid sculpted ones or rubber but if this is what we get I'm cool with it.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Too many headscuplts for it to come in at any price that won't make everyone consider bypassing. I'm hopeful it's skirting the high $200. Not sure why it should even be $300, personally.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

My seller from Hong Kong says that he doesn't expect the price to be too high. It depends what material they've used. He said if they've used rubber it will be mega expensive, anything else and it shouldn't be too high.

That's what I'm talking about. Don't make it more than it has to be just because it's the Hulk.
