I dunno. I love violence, I love sex and I love nudity. But I don't like watching someone eat poop, stuff cockroaches and squid in their vajayjays while they squeel like 6-year-old girls, nor do I like seeing what seem like beautiful women endowed like donkeys. :huh

Start to worry if you ever do!

If that ever happens, I'll turn myself into a eunuch. :lol

Its funny, I was a little younger when this came to theaters around '04 I believe. Anyways my dad took me and my brothers to see it and when we went up to the ticket booth, he asked the lady what its rated and for what. She told him and he decided right there that it was too violent for us. . . .so he took us to see Passion of the Christ instead :slap

i loved Jane and Stevenson's punisher.
what i didn't like about Jane's punisher was the lack of worthy villain. travolta looked ghey, i couldn't even remember his name...and i wished he had MORE kills.

:lecture Yes. Travolta was pretty lame in that role. It would've been better if he was there to kill Castle's wife and son.

I had this debate with some old _____ who decided to chastise me for taking my daughter (she was 4 at the time) to see Thor and said that I should've taken her to an evening church service instead. The dizzy old hag couldn't seem to get it in her head that Thor is considerably less "horrific" than the blatant murder, demons, genocide, beastiality, and incest that's in the Bible and taught in Sunday School classes.

I just got a chance to watch this now, and I liked what I saw here better than all of WarZone. It makes me realize how much I miss Jane as the Punisher.

Props to Jane and Co. for putting this together.

:rotfl
Some people these days I tell ya! But I agree, Thor is very tame compared to what they talk about in the bible. Some folks just have no clue what the hell they are talking about! :lecture :lol

I love how this short is pretty much a slap on the face to the original piece of S___ garbage movie, and how this proves Warzone was a better movie...

Perfect summation. I love Warzone, I think its one of the better comic book movies made.

I like Thomas Jane, he kinda looks like Christopher Lambert and I like both Jane and Stevenson's portrayal of Frank.

Thats freaky. I'm pretty big fans of both actors and I never really thought about it, but after you posted it, they do look like they could be brothers.

Because in 10 minutes, this short built up mood and had more atomsphere than War Zone ever had. For me, its not about the blood and gore. Those things compliment the story, and shouldnt be the focus. Which is imo what War Zone did.

Exactly, War Zone was a mindless, let's-see-how-much-gore-we-can throw-at-the-audience-because-we-have-no-story type film. It was style over substance and unlike Jane's Punisher, I can't even really remember the story of War Zone. Jane's Punisher I can remember well as it had a story and it had moments from the Ennis stories. You can't bypass the story in favor of 90 min. of unique deaths. Get a "Faces of Death" video if you want that. A movie needs to make the audience care about the protagonist and War Zone failed to do that. Even Lundgren's performance made you care more about what happens.

Also, Jane wasn't recast until Jane himself withdrew from Punisher 2 due to a disagreement on the plot and story. After seeing War Zone, I can see why. He didn't want just 90 min. of gory killings with nothing backing them up. I think the 2004 Punisher, while having a weak villain in Travolta, had the best mixture of story drama and action. It was a balanced film and the extended cut is even better.

I couldn't agree more.

I thought Jane's original Punisher was far better than Warzone. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was Travolta. But he was better than Jigsaw.

This short was great. That is one indestructible bottle of Jack! :lol
