Am i the only person that thinks that there may not be a Tony Stark head with this figure?

Think about it within the context of the film we never see the Mark VII with out the helmet on or even with the face-plate flipped up.

The only time we see Tony's face whilst wearing this suit is

when Thor rips the mask off after Iron Man falls from space

and at that point the suit is pretty much trashed, since the figure so far seems to be a clean version to represent him at the start of the battle, an open face wouldn't make sense.

I mean Hot Toys probably will include a head for him and if people want one then they should include it, I just think i would be OK with it if it didn't include one, especially with all the pop out weapons and removable parts that i expect it to have where a head will just push the price up even more.

Yeah true i had forgotten that, but even then at that point the suit is trashed and a head accurate to that scene would look out of place on a clean suit IMO.

If this doesn't come with a head sculpt I will not be buying it.


Whether it is movie-accurate or not I think all Iron Man figures should include a likeness of whoever wore the suit. Otherwise the figures start to become just another robot on the shelf. There is a human inside the armor after all.

Also don't forget 98% of all marking material for the film has the helmet of too

I'm all for the swap-out battle damaged panels, especially if it means HT forgoes doing two seperate versions of the Mark VII like they did with the Mark III. It adds value to the figure. Throw in a new RDJ headsculpt and the figure is complete. Since HT is charging a small fortune for figures lately, we might as well get the total package in one go!

I'm not impressed with the way it was revealed.

I'm still hopeful the figure will rock once we get the official photos.

That said, I still think I like the IV and VI better. So their value should hold until HT does their 2.0 versions.

Agreed! I also think this figure will be excellent once its released. And I too, like the IV & VI better. However, the VII is growing on me.

meh. this could get ugly if you target to complete the line. im sticking with select few, with secret project probably closing my armory (for now). Hey HT, your country probably runs the fiber optics, you could've called SDCC to quickly fix that and won't cost you a lot.

yup someone should've probably setup a separate MVIII thread. Hasbro repaint strategy here we goo..

Agreed! I also think this figure will be excellent once its released. And I too, like the IV & VI better. However, the VII is growing on me.

Agree- it's raised because someone put it over the red piece...

You WOULD think someone at HT would make the effort to fix it...but aside from US nobody must care!

If that grey piece is over the obstructed extra red on the chest plate, would that mean there even a little gap for the "missing red bit" to slip into? I don't think that would look right if the chest piece weren't even on.

Yeah, they open at least to reveal the missiles -- which is most likely how I will pose him so as to hide the silver mounds.
