Re: Hot Toys The Dark Knight Lt. Jim Gordon S.W.A.T suit version Figure - Specs & Pic

get this for now if the trench coat one comes just sell the swat figure.

I think that's what I'm going to do. I only need one Gordon in my collection. I'll buy this one and if one I like better is released, I'll sell it. But I could end up keeping the swat version since it is a more interesting costume.

Its a Hot Toys figure. If you want a Gordon, grab this one. If they never make another, you're golden. If they make one you prefer later, you can resell Swat Gordon for at least as much as you paid.

That's my plan.

It was epic when Gordon appeared in his SWAT gear. I have a feeling if a trench coat Gordon was a exclusive, people may also say I'll just wait until a SWAT Gordon is released.

Re: Hot Toys The Dark Knight Lt. Jim Gordon S.W.A.T suit version Figure - Specs & Pic

i may get this one. how difficulty would it be to get a trench coat for him?

Gordon doesn't get many figures and i dont want to run the risk of them not releasing a 'regular' version.

Re: Hot Toys The Dark Knight Lt. Jim Gordon S.W.A.T suit version Figure - Specs & Pic

Well, the reason I asked is because I noticed on the SDCC releases that only the Pirates of the Carribean Angelica doll didn't say "xxx version," but the other two, Cap't America USO and Gordon, say "xxx version." Has there ever been a release where the only release of a character said "xxx version" instead of just listing the name as, for example, Lt. Jim Gordon and didn't have the "swat version" part on it? Sorry, I hope that this isn't too confusing. I'm a bit new at this and only own one Hot Toys figure at the moment. Working on add more. :)

Good advice, Mister D. I think I'll PO the swat version and if another comes out then I'll decide what to do at that point.

I was thinking that. The tag line of SWAT Team version, does imply others in the works. However, I do like this version, and regular clothes are easy to get to turn him into day time version Gordon, or trench coat version Gordon. I have to arrange one of these this week.

I just read the DKR article in Entertainment Weekly (I hightly recomend doing so), & I'm more convinced that this is it for Nolan. The Marketing for all thing & lic DK are gonna be crazy in the coming months. So yeah....i'd lay my manhood on a chopping block that trench Gordon is in the works.

Yo I can't wait to see this ending that even the actors seem to be busting at the gut to talk about.

I'm sure they put that when its not the outfit you first think of when you see a character, joker and oc batman don't have a version and they still had multiple figures made.also it leaves it open,if gordon sells out quike and they relize there is a big market for gary oldman figures then they can do more.

The trenchcoat version would be "Commissioner Gordon", not "Lt. Gordon". This will likely be the only version of Lt. Gordon. I'd be surprised if they didn't release a TDKR Commissioner Gordon. If this were the only Gordon release ... it would've had the trenchcoat. Doesn't make sense to release the character so scene specific, and then not do the standard costume. They wouldn't have done just a Bank Robber Joker and not a purple suit Joker -- and they won't do just a SWAT Gordon and not the trenchcoat Gordon.

I'm not convinced I need a Gordon. I think I'll wait 'til the trenchcoat Commissioner comes out, then try to buy the SWAT version at a discount. Heh.

Young Gordon ft. Thomas Wayne jacket
Casual Gordon ft. Porch dio for Batman to sit on
Trenchcoat Gordon
Face-off Gordon ft. Snivelling family
Hospital bed Gordon ft. Hospital food

Go on Hot Toys, you know you want to...

Classick..
:rotfl

But that's how Hot Toys Rolls.

Honestly, I'd be perfectly fine with having a casual and SWAT Gordon in my collection. Casual Gordon is certainly the character at his most iconic, but SWAT Gordon is definitely the version where he's at his most badass.

That's all we need to do is buy the figure then jump on ebay once all the HK sellers break Gordon down and buy an extra head and bash together whatever Gordon you wany .

It's simple ... we buy more head sculpts

SWAT Gordon=Epic moment of baddassery
Commissioner Gordon=The Legend

Definitely. A second head should be an easy buy, then build a regular Gordon for the collection.

I just feel like it would be really easy to dress the SWAT version in a trench coat but going the other way around wouldn't be possible. It still depends on price for me. Under 200 and it's a total buy, over and I'll wait and see.

The Chinese web sites are quoting that the price is as yet undetermined, but I'd expect it to be the same as the 2011 Batman / Bruce Wayne. It was retailing at around 2500 - 3000 RMB, depending on the shop. ($375 - $450)
