This is my favorite of the reveals so far. It makes the old Widow look pretty obsolete in my personal opinion.

To me the PF has better likeness.

Ignore him Yulli... your work is awesome!!! But ya, everyone's perception of figures is skewed by how their brain recognizes faces. For me it's a lot more centered around a person's eyes, nose, and hair.

Lol, it's precisely the eyes (and to a lesser extent the nose) that I'm focusing on. :)

But sure, ignore me, Yulli. I still think you're the cutest thing. :love

Don't be sad, Naomi, I'm sure the day to be reissued as a King Kong figure will come.

Out of curiosity, does regular conditioner reduce the volume of the the rooted hair?

Not really. The problem is that almost all doll-hair is made out of the exact same plastic that Saran Wrap is made out of, so human hair conditioner is not really formulated to affect it much.

However fabric softener is specially made to affect synthetic materials, as well as natural ones. So when you use that, you get a much nicer result.

When resetting a doll's hair I like to use dishwashing liquid and follow that up with the fabric softener, style with fingers and let dry. Here's hoping Widow's hair isnt so bad that a lot of people feel the need to restyle! For such an expensive figure that would be a real bummer.

Please excuse this hairstyling derailment :snake

Admittedly, this comparison goes a long way in showing the face shape in a more favourable light, but the eyes still don't cut it for me.

But I'm not even into 1:6 figures and was never going to buy this anyway, so I'm just out of here. Really glad this seems to be a success among you potential buyers. :)

Wow! Wanted to pass so much on this figure. Cancelled the first BW. Can't pass on this. This is just as good as Loki.

About time someone showed a proper comparison.

Remember too that this head sculpt is about the size of a girl's thumbnail.
:exactly:

Will have to get out the photoshop to get a side by side and maybe closer screencap to aid the partially blind :lol

DinoLast's might be enough though

Good piece of info for possible future use. Thanks! :)

No worries! I found that to be quite informative and makes me lean toward PO'ing this figure. I know they make wig conditioners, and people always add that hair conditioner would be a good alternative. Yet, no one doing this properly seem to use hair conditioner, and I don't have any more of rooted hair figures to do a test run. Thanks!

Nice looking figure otherwise, but even in these beauty-shots straight from the manufacturer, this hair is already a hot mess. I can't imagine what it will be like straight out of the box.

So glad Thor and Loki have sculpted hair.... sculpted hair has its problems, but an overdose of styling gel isn't one of them.

Thank God, were not getting this....LOL:rotfl:rotfl
