Nice pic Centurion! Don't know why HT did not release a BD War Machine in the first place, when they did it for Mark VI. Given the history, I guess they would re-release one sooner or later.

Just checked the batteries on my War Machine and they were starting to burst. I recommend everyone who has one or any other battery operated figure by hot toys to have a look at theirs and ensure everything is ok.

I removed them the day I got my War Machine and I saw hints of oxide build-up on them. They can be put in again anyways. BTW, does anyone know of a good brand for such type of batteries?

My brother who got a couple of HT figures but not an avid collector got a shock when he held the War Machine figure in his hands as it was much heavier than the other Ironman Mark IV, V and VI figures I had.
This is still one of HT's best "Ironman" figures to date!!

Yeah I love War Machines armour, definitely one of my favourites. I kinda wished the other IM armours had WM weight, makes it feel that more valuable & better made but I'm looking forward to seeing what War Machine is going to look like in Iron Man 3. I'm hoping he'll get a new suit which means more figure's for my IM collection.

Recieved War Machine via a UK ebay seller this morning,

As my Iron Man Mark VI is still en route from Hong Kong this was my first HT armored figure and to say I'm blown away would be an understatement.

Prior to this the only other high end 1:6 armored characters I'd had were some of the Medicom Star Wars figures a few years back but War Machine blows them all to pieces.

It's not just the level of detail and the engineering of all the pop up weapons and panels, the whole feel of the figure is so solid and sturdy.....some care has to be taken when reposing as with any figure of this price but it's still fun to do whereas the Medicom ones were scary as they always felt like they were on the verge of crumbling if I tried anything beyond the most basic of poses.

My favorite part of War Machine's design is the magnetic faceplate which I think works really well.

The only issue appears to be battery related as the light for the eyes barely works and the left hand repulsor is likewise.

What size screwdriver do I need to get so I can get the battery covers off to replace the batteries?

I'm not sure exactly which size it is (maybe .040-?), but it can be found in any jewelers screwdriver set, like these:

Be careful with the one in the neck especially - it's very tight and you can round the head if you're not careful.

Make your life easy. Buy an eyeglass repair kit from like walmart or something, the screw driver works perfectly. When unscrewing be ver careful that you dont lose the screw

I got my War Machine from a fellow freak last night, man-he-is-awesome! A couple of questions though, if no one minds. I'm replacing the batteries, since they haven't been replaced before. They look fine, no rust, broken casings, etc. The ones in the hands need replaced just because they're dead. The ones in the neck and chest still work fine. What is a good brand to replace these with that I wont have trouble from?

Also, I can't get the cover off his back for the chest batteries, no matter what I do it just won't come off. Any ideas? I have all of the screws, I don't plan to lose any, but what if you strip a screw (in the future), I take it no good replacements are out there? Thank you very much for the help.

Well maybe a little rust, if that's the green stuff, lol. They're pretty clean overall.

It took me half an hour but I finally managed to loosen it and War Machine now has working eyes
