Yeah, loved the 1/6 scale Biker Scout ... wait, Sideshow didn't release it after their PF, I did one myself!

Yeah and the Tusken Raider wasn't very soon after the PF either... Oh and Dooku and Talon are no where, and Grievous and Boba were several years...

I enjoy both 1:4 and 1:6 scale, but tend to like the PFs a bit better. At this scale, these will be quite impressive and it's only a matter of time before the 1:6 scale fans get their day in the sun. Plus, the PFs are now only about 2X the price of a 1:6 scale figure (in some cases).

I was going to make a thread to show off a custom steampunk r2 I made a while back but I didn't think it really needed a thread of it's own so I'll show it here. It's a simple project but for some reason the simple ones sometimes come out the best. Tell me what you think.

Yeah unfortunately steel art weighs a lot. Makes shipping a pain. This actually isn't that heavy because the tube is hollow and is just under 3" in diameter. He probably looks bigger than he actually is in the pic.

Yeah...I was guessin 7-8 inches tall. At 3", I can not see it being too bad. Is that Sub-Arc wire for the tubing?

Oh you're a welder? Good eye. All the copper is 5/32 sub-arc wire. The rest is mild steel

Price will determine if this pair will be my PF Star Wars collection. I have had some of the others from the series and decided to stay away from the big statues. But the droids would be a fitting pair to to have in my collection.

I actually like the fact that they are on separate bases. The bases look relatively small, so bringing them fairly close shouldn't be an issue. Plus, a large base adds shipping costs and space concerns. They look really good IMO.
