The threads in Whedonville have uses though, about a new project or a new event where posts mean something.

Your personal bias didn't allow you to see the point.

A single thread about a collectible (whether canceled or not) isn't nearly as useless as an entire subforum dedicated to shows only a fraction of this forum's members care about in the first place, and most collectible companies shun. The amount of chatter from actual relevant threads could easily be put in the other areas of this forum where they'd be mercifully put to death (customs, horror, general). That said, I say leave them both open. They don't hurt anybody and it adds to the diversity. You don't like this thread, run back there and post up a storm. It's that easy.

Most threads these days have nothing to say, I'd say there's probably more useful threads in Whedonville than in DC or Marvel.

The point of closing this thread is that there's nothing more to say, so people adding useless posts to it instead just serves to bump the thread which can push down other threads that actually have something. In that case, it is actually doing harm (wasting space)

Figure would've been amazing, i didn't particualry need it to light up, fully sculpted with great paintwork would've been better than just canceling it becuase they couldn't figure the lights out

I totally agree. Especially since we'd all take him out of the box, turn on his lightup suit and say "neat" then put him on the shelf never to turn it on again.

The existence of this thread is the determining factor as to whether the "Hot Toys announces Batman Returns license" thread is on page 1 or 2. Is that really something you're concerned with?
