Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

If Enterbay hits this one out of the park, there is no way I'm geting their HD line and the TDKR line from Hot Toys. I'm very weary of HT's rubber suit issues, so I might just settle on the 1/4 from EB.

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

I think there is room for both companies to exist. It doesn't have to be an either or. I don't own an enterbay figure. Based on the opinion here, EB makes a great product. And if they make a character I want, and I don't already have a version of I will get it. HT customer base is far too big to get taken down that quickly.

And I agree that its possible for EB to dethrone HT, but that would be a long road for EB to take. And I don't think there will be that many common figures made. Kinda like Mattel make DC figures and Hasbro make Marvel. Its also possible that if EB continues to make figures without problem, and HT continues to have problems with figures, that there could be a change in power. It also possible for EB to make figures with problems and HT will get a portion of those customers back.

I think you'e right Mike, very good analogy about the Mattel DC and Hasbro Marvel, in that regard there is very much room for both HT and EB, but when it comes to conflicting licenses that's where the line is drawn for customers to choose a side, at least for that license.

HT could be focusing on their own and EB their own, but HT keep chasing EB to shut them down and in the process limiting their own catalog to alot of the same figures EB is making and thus putting themselves in direct conflict, where as they could corner the market doing all the fogures that EB doesn't have the rights for.

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

EB, 1/4 AS Conan the Barbarian and Raiders Indy please

I never thought I would want a Terminator figure but now i'm very interested in the 1/4 BD. :slap

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

To do that they need to show commitment across their catalog and not just select few licenses, expand to meet projects and reduce delays, create a proper customer service dept & working website and most importantly get out of the 2.0 game and get back to making original characters they haven't done before. That's how i see it anyway.

The 2.0 game is a tricky subject for me. Personally, if they produce a figure that they have made leaps and bounds over and wish to revisit it (Key word: revisit, not milk), I see no problem with it so long as it doesn't interfere with the production of new stuff.

I actually agree, but HT just don't handle it well at all, they are backlogged with new figures yet carry on showing revisited or variant figures like the new T800, the MK 1 Iron Man, MK 6, Joker 2.0 while the new figures continue to be un-made.

If they could do both then that's gravy all around, but they picked the remakes and reissues over producing original figures, so it sucks to be one of the ones waiting on original figures :dunno

If they did both, it would be brilliant, from my observations the Hot Toys community and customer numbers have grown and Hot Toys have not, with the profits they are making they need to re-invest in keeping pace IMO

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

And so far neither have Enterbay.

Which is why i continued writing to explain the differences :lecture

You're right, but like i said, they have better motivation to do better, and judging by the effort they put into the T800 it seems they'll go the extra mile

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

I'm wondering what's the hold up regarding an actual pic. I a visit once a day on this thread and still no new photos. Hope this fig is worth the long wait.

Most likely it's that they are waiting on licensor approval of their sculpts or that they enjoy dragging out the tease for as long as possible...or both.

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

They said end of April, but honestly (and it may be selfish), I wouldn't mind if he wasn't up to order until the first week of May or something. I'm getting hit with Nicholson this week.lol

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

Seems these figures will be the way to go! Hot Toys appear to have problems as well as a bad reputation!

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

Yeah, I'm still having trouble deciding between the Batman I want... With Hot Toy's bad rubber issues. But to be fair we havent seen Enterbay's attempt

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

Indulge yourself: get both. I just got to thinking today about a 1/4 scale Bane. Real leather and wool coat...:drool
