Yes, I was looking at the size of the cannon not the "pole". HT used the cannon from the old P2. Wished they'd sculpt a new one that is bigger. :slap

OK, thanx. People who complains and complains about the proto pics, just go to Stan Winston Studios and buy the original 1:1 suit, statue or wharever and you'll have 1000% accuracy of the predator and problem solved!

I think HT figure looks fantastisc and it's good enough for me.
Well good buy, slippery tactless person :wave

The last time the film makers made mandibles that closed properly.
Cuz it was the same company :lol

R.I.P. Stan :monkey2:monkey2:monkey2

Regarding the cannon/pole on the HT figure: In case people don't realize this, you CAN adjust it.

Looks like all the promo pics.

Now it doesn't.

You can even adjust it completely straight (or even mod it to remove that pole all together) so it doesn't stick out at all. But there's a problem with that. A really BIG problem.

We don't have the luxury of "movie magic".

You'll notice in that YouTube clip (and just in general ALL clips of P2 during Predator 2) that every time he uses his plasma cannon all his dreads on the left side of his head are magically out of the way. Yet in every other scene, they completely obstruct that entire section of his armor where the plasma cannon sits (when it's in firing mode).

If you have a P2 figure try putting the cannon completely straight with all the dreads pushed behind it and you'll see how ____ed up and stupid it looks.

So in this case, screen accurate isn't an option because that whole look was faked for those specific scenes. In reality, even if someone off screen was remotely controlling the cannon they couldn't just raise it up into firing position because all the dreads would block it and it would be a cluster ____. :lol

I agree about the face though. But since I always display them with bio's it doesn't matter to me as much. Doesn't mean it's ok. Just means for me, it's not that big of an issue. Completely understand people caring about it though.

^^ :goodpost:

Yep, the cannon isn't even attached to the suit most of the time you see him in the film.

When you are on your death bed you will wish thoes 7 1/2 months back :(
