I hope so, it seems like they have been getting consistently better with their paint quality, and I think, judging by all of the ominous foreshadowing that they're doing, this is a pretty big deal to them that they're trying to build excitement for. I think SSC is going to go all out on these releases.

Question-G’day guys! During the last few years many collectors have been asking about the status of a new 1:6th female body to accompany the new male body in wide use. Where are you up to on this issue so that we can hope to see many of the female characters from the Star Wars/Indiana Jones licenses rounded out? Can you tease us with any hints of which gals will be given the Sideshow treatment in 2012? Thanks!

Answer-Good news, and great news!

The good news is that the development is done, and we have a VERY exciting, very slick, sleek, and sexy new body that will debut with the Baroness.

The great news is that Sideshow’s Sixth Scale team is on FIRE. We’re developing new bodies for lots (and I mean LOTS) of new efforts, and we’ll be unveiling a LOT of new hotness in the coming months. Sixth Scale is about to explode.

I wonder how many of them will be DC.

WHEN WILL WE SEE THE BATMAN 1:6 FIGURES OUT FOR PRE-ORDER? I AM PARTICULARLY EXCITED TO GET A GLIMPSE OF YOUR ARKHAM ASYLUM VERSION!

Arkham Asylum Sixth Scale figures will be available soon courtesy of Hot Toys. As for Sideshow’s Batman Sixth Scale figures, our comic-based versions will be unveiled next – look for them around the time of San Diego Comic-Con!

Unlike some, I'm in no rush. I'll get them when they come out. But HT has so many coming out this year, I'm looking for a 4th job.

I know there was previous discussion of an Arkham City Batman from Hot Toys and an Arkham Asylum Batman from Sideshow. I guess Sideshow is letting Hot Toys deal with Arkham figures while they focus on comic versions. That works fine with me. I would probably have only gotten an Arkham Batman from Hot Toys. I am sure I will be very poor once I see Hot Toys' Arkham Batman and Sideshows' comic versions. Can't wait though.

Oooh, the fact that he said "next" means that well be seeing the HT AC Batman stuff before SDCC? If so, :yess: :yess: :yess: :yess: Also, comic Batman stuff, :yess: :yess: :yess: :yess:

Very much looking forward to seeing what these are like, I wasn't even aware until recently that SS even did 1/6 scale figures but I've seen pics of their GI Joe's and they look pretty cool if you're into that type of thing

Guesses on what era of Batman SS will start on?

I wouldn't mind the New 52 design, but my preference would either be Neal Adams 70's era Bats or a straight-up Mazzuchelli Year One Bats (the latter of which would be VERY difficult, if not impossible to pass up on;as evidenced in my sig).

I'd buy all three of those!

I'm not really looking for any specific era or artist style for batman.
Just something that's black and grey and looks cool.;) heh
Like that bust!

I know that they're developing a new body for the superheroes.
But I wonder if they plan on doing a "slim" type body for characters like Joker?

That being said, that "Golden Age First Appearance" Batman that they showed in the concept art would be awesome, too. You don't see many Golden Age products, especially on the high-end isde of things, and it would be a unique and nice change of pace.
