It amazes me how a member with 37,000 post, probably near the most in the history of forums, ALWAYS accuses everyone else of trolling!!!

Have any new leaks been discovered from new members or the original 11 ON THEIR 89 BATMAN?

I feel the same about newbs and their apparent omniscience. :lecture:lecture:lecture

For the record, I've tried getting this thread back on topic but it would seem that there are a handful of lowbrows who're trying to incite an off topic flame war. :huh

considering that you are probably 15 years old, I started collection toys 20 years ago. You can call me a newb if you want, but it only show your ignorance and lack of respect for anyone else!

Oxymoronic. I was referring to matters of this board with the "newb" comment, which you're clearly clueless about. But troll on if you must. Jesus, it's like holding angry 3-year-olds at arm's length while they swing wildly in failed attempts at landing anything remotely damaging. :lol

Get off his back, Nam genuinely wants the '89 Batman figure, trust me I can tell. There's more of a reason he's here than simply "gloating". Ever occur to anyone that he was really pumped and excited for this one?

While he can be a little rough, he's skeptic because of the past incidences, and why not? The DX 02 oil crap and Comedian were HUGE turn offs to the collecting community. Hot Toys track record in the rubber department isn't a very positive one.

Originally when Rory first posted the incident I freaked as well. I pretty much swore of the idea of ever owning another rubber Hot Toys figure. Once the dust settled though I sort of saw how exaggerated this all seemed to be in comparison to the previous problem figures. I think the thing that really cemented it though was how isolated it was and how half the people on the list weren't even sure if it was oil or not.

Nam's just playing it safe with the wait and see game. Smart thing to do. He wins either way without oil problems, or even better, a flawless Batman figure. While I'll admit there might be a slight hint of him getting off on the problem and the desire to crack down on some "newbs" ("go read dat DX 02 thread"), I think he means well.

What I have bolded is trolling:

You are a knewb making presumptions upon people who you know nothing about to suit your own agenda. Seriously just drop it.

Still I gotta LOL at people who feel morally outraged and righteous indignation over a toy.

No one could possible tell that could be the case when all he does is call people name, fuel fires and craps on everything! :dunno

AREYOU KIDDING ME? WHAT WAS MY AGENDA? GETTING BACK ON TOPIC?

If you want it dropped, WHY DID YOU REPLY?

you prove my point

That you're being oxymoronic? You're trolling while accusing others of doing so. Do you honestly think calling me a 15-year-old and referring to my irrelevant post count somehow contributes to the seriousness of the thread topic? Or are you just acting like a naggy woman, needing to have the last word? :lol

Enough, EVERYONE.

This is a highly desired figure and a very frustrating topic, it will get heated.

Like it or not, the mess with DX02 is going to spill over into here, people are excited about HT figures but fed up with the QC issues and lack of customer care. People who don't own this figure but want to or similar ones in the future have as much at stake to watch this thread and see where this leads.

Stay focused on discussing the figure/problem/company and stop taking shots at each other.

From this post on, any post having nothing to do with the topic and about another member or members will be infracted, there's no need for this behavior.

I'm with DiFabio here, everything nam or I or anyone else skeptical about the oil situation here has said has been with a common purpose in mind: to make sure people we find out the extent of the problem, to make sure those who are new to HT are aware of their past record on rubber, and to try and get HT to acknowledge there may be a problem here and to do something about it.

Yeah nam has more posts than anyone in this thread, and yeah, i'm no.2 on that list. And yes, neither of us own the figure. You know why? Because we're playing it safe! Both of us want the figure, just not before we're sure its problem free.

Stand down, tiny. Your post count pales next to mine. :)

I'm actually not too proud of having over 21,000 posts. I'm sure that time could have been better spent. :dunno

Back to topic as requested, has there been any further complaints about the leakage since "the 9"?

Fact is, a lot of people lived through the dx02 and the comedian ordeal and were justly pissed off... Early reports blew sunshine up everyone's expectations that this new rubber suit was not the same type of rubber HT previously used and compared it as being more in line with the muscle body in material. This got everyone excited and fanned a lot of good faith with HT that had been lost.

So to see that there is, at the very least, some issue with leakage rightly has pissed off a lot of people.

And who would know more about this issue? Some newb who's making his first leaky Batman purchase? Or those who've experienced this first hand? :huh

I've owned the DX 02, and I did not experience the leaking issue, and I have the DX 09 as well. Seeing how this turns out doesn't mean actively participating in a discussion about a figure that you don't even have, or may not even get last time I checked.

Talking about posts in this thread buddy :rotfl

Oh I see. So one has to actually own a figure to have the right to post an opinion.

How is this even relevant to the thread topic? You're blatantly ignoring the moderators requests to stop so you can continue with this line of trolling garbage. I'd argue that given you haven't even experienced a leakage issue, anything you have to say is fairly irrelevant here. I think others, including the moderators who posted contrary to your opinion, agree. :huh

I didn't see the moderators post, as the page hadn't updated yet, and I just think it's ridiculous to say that someone is trolling when they call you up on how this even affects you, but I digress, let's leave it alone now.
