Also tried my local McDonalds today and they said no. Seemed like they'd been asked a few times before too by their responses.

Every McDonald's I go to in Chicago is run by Hispanic people who obviously don't understand what I'm talking about. They hear toy, they say yes. I have to go in and ask them to sow me what they have each time. Quite frustrating.

Oh, and as a disguise, I always ask if they have Transformers and Ponies yet. Little do they know I have no interest in Transformers! Muwhahaha!

Eff! And I went to THREE McDonald's today. I wonder if some boiling water and an Xacto would help make them look better. The 2011 ones look better without that annoying clip thing.

I'm so behind. I just finished episode 18 from season 1. Also, I might have changed my FB profile pic to the Mane Six and was surprised to see a friend ask if I was a Brony. I guess at this point with hunting for toys at McDonalds and changing my avatar and FB pic, I couldn't argue otherwise. Lol

You COULD hunt down last year's toys but the price is kinda ridiculous for something so silly if you ask me. I am gonna get them and mod them. I might get two Pinkie Pies and attempt drilling a hole to make a key-chain.

That's a pretty good deal considering. Wonder if this will drive the price of last year's set down? I wouldn't mind picking those up for that price.

They feel pretty heavy and well made.

Their mane's paint job is bad. Since they need repainting anyway it ok that we have to clip off that stupid thing and just repaint the whole mane.

I just bought the 2 toys individually for $1.79 each, no food was purchased.

They only had Twilight and Fluttershy otherwise I would have bought more. I'm looking for the full mane 6.

I went to another McDonalds close by and they told me they can't break the street date.

Yeah it's only 30 cents more per pony (based on the price hicks provided)... and if you counter in gas and the headache of tracking them all down it's way worth it.

2 things to remember:

1. $1.79 is the CDN price. Happy Meal toys are cheaper in the U.S

2. You can cut the nub right off. Since the whole mane needs a repaint, just paint the entire thing so everything matches perfectly
