After watching the most recent trailer, I felt the need to get every single figure that will come out from this lineup.

This sucks. :gah:

I know, i was def gonna get the big 3: Iron Man (dont have one yet) Thor (again dont have) and Cap, then was thinking aslong as Hulk isnt totally rubberised id get Hulk, but after seeing the trailer and the prototype Nicky Fury i want him and Black Widow and Hawkeye too :gah: bye bye bank balance:wave

Whoever they release first, I can see Hot Toys holding back Hulk untill the last release.

I disagree, they're bringing Fury out first which is a brand new figure so why wouldn't they do the same with Hulk? If anything if he's the one everyone wants the most it makes sense to bring him out first and like I said earlier in the thread if the likes of Iron Man get two releases (mark VI & VIII) then they'll probably want to space those two out to maximize the chances of people buying the first thus the second version being near to the last release from the line

I think an Avengers Loki if he happens will be the last figure from the line

That's a strange business tactic, but I do hope you're right.

wow. re-releasing Cap and Thor so soon after these last ones, and yet another Iron Man lol. well i guess if they make those 3 later in the team lineup, then it wouldn't be a slap in the face to the folks who've gotten the ones out now, since they'd show in a year or 2.

so what with the Preds, Robocop, and Iron Man Mark 1, are HT just gonna re-release everything lol?

Why is that a slap in the face? Should they NOT release new versions of figures when new movies come out? We all know Captain America 2, Thor 2 and Iron Man 3 are coming out in 2013 and 2014. And most likely, HT will make ANOTHER cap, ANOTHER Thor and SEVERAL OTHER Iron Mans. Should be not buy Avengers versions because we know they are most likely going to release them in a year, or 2, or 3?:slap:dunno

And regarding re-releases, why should they capitalize on what the secondary market is RAPING collector for. HT re-releasing figures help collectors who are NOT in it for the investment. Whether you are new to collecting 1/6 or just missed out on a release. Now, You can get a Mark 1 for half the price you could a year ago.

Thanks Hot Toys.

Well said man. I agree with all of that. It's also something that has been true of toys in the post Star Wars world and probably to a certain extent before that.

The thing that screws with people I think is that it seems like collectors treat the market for current toys the same way as the market for toys that are 20-100 years old. It's just not the same thing. No matter what the toy line, if it's current, there's always a chance there will be new versions of toys you buy or even identical re-releases.

Agreed! I love seeing all these people that were selling mark 1's for over $500 now getting their pieces cut in half. New in the box? I get one its to get it out and enjoy

:exactly: What's sad is there are peeps out there who buy up HT figs and hold onto them (never releasing them from their box shaped prison) because all they want to do is re-sell them at 3x the face value...

Of course I have never paid the scalper price for a HT fig, but I know people who have...hell I even contemplated paying $550 for a Blade, but I just let it go...as much as I want it...it's not worth that...really BURNS ME UP!! :gah::banghead:balrog

Missed out on the long haird verson of her. Now shes like 350 on ebay.
