If I hate a movie I'm not going to buy a figure from it no matter how cool it looks.

:goodpost::clap:exactly:

I think all pre-Nolan Batman movies after Returns sucks but I'm not at the point where I hate Returns. I'm just really, really, really disappointed in it when compared to 89 Batman and have a bunch of cringe worthy moments when it comes to DeVito's scenes.

:thud::pfft::ignore:

(jks Just your opinion I know. Returns is my favourite of the pre Nolan films)

Can't beat BTAS. Nothing can.

i never understood the hype with BTAS. i mean, it was a good cartoon show, well written, better then most other comic book cartoons, but i still take the movies over it. im not what you would call a "comic book fan". more of a movie fan.

I don't care if you care that I don't like it. I don't like you Coco and I wouldn't buy any Hot Toys figures of you.

Oh and you're ugly and your mom dress you funny.

Batman Returns > Batman 1989, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises.

I don't know what kind of Bat Freak you are then :lol

cmon how can any batfan not love the 60's show lol.

i can totally see why this was so popular in the 60's.

i like BTAS as well, but i dont say things like OOOH TEY GOTTA MAKE TIS INTO TEH NEXCT MOVIE!!!! i mean i LIKE the show but i dont think its the best end all version of batman. its a cool cartoon though.

^^^ Not a Batman fan. A strictly Burton-Batman fanboy.

There, I said it.

I tried rewatching Returns the other day. Actually more or less had it on in the background as I did other things. I like it less and less everytime. I'll definitely be buying figures from the line because the one thing I really liked is the look of the characters.

Weird. I still love it every time I see it. Prolly helps that I'm a big DeVito fan. I absolutely love his scenes in Returns.

Returns is really a perfect storm for me. Burton (much more Burtony than '89), Batman, DeVito, Feiffer. It's just awesome.

As great as BTAS is, I still say JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED beats all, because it not only showcases the same Batman... it pretty much has the ultimate incarnations of all of the major DC heroes. I'm serious. That show remains underrated and under-appreciated to this day.

I mean, if you can have an entire episode devoted to Mr. Miracle & Big Barda (with a little help from The Flash) and it's as good as any episode of an animated superhero show you know the writing is as good as it gets.

Well... Thx God I was born in 80's :monkey1

I'd say the same if I wasn't that much into "Burton" (never liked any of his cartoons).
And the fact that BR is sooooooooooooooooo F'dUP isn't helping :lol

:lol:lol:lol:lol yeah, maybe...

Anyway still love Penguin, Catwoman and the overall grim gothic style of the movie.
Hope dat we gonna get all 3 main characters in 1/6.

The Arkham games came pretty dang close though, and its the closest thing we'll get to HT figures of animated Batman.

At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised to see that lightening flashing between a crimson sky in a "coming soon from Hot Toys" teaser...

Well, quite honestly because that's NOT who Batman was created to be. The Batman tv show was spawned by the 60's comics or vise versa, which ever way you want to look at it. During that era the character was changed drastically. It wasn't until the 70's with Dennis O'Neil that the character was returned to way he was intended to be.

When I was kid I liked the 60s tv show and even liked the Schumacher films... then one say I started reading the comics I was buying.

And further more I could ask you how any batfan could not love Nolan's Batman, but we already know that. :wink1:
