Re: Hot Toys-MMS: X-Men 1st Class

I don't look at it as I'm buying a figure of the actor, I never have. I'm buying a figure of Magneto, one my favorite mutant baddies. If an actors a scumbag then shame of him but I let his dirty deeds get in the way of my enjoy of the character. MJ was a super wierdo but I still like the Thriller video.

This Fassbender wife beating news is overa year old.. he got nom for a Golden Globe... people don't care any more..

The reason why you're not seeing this is because it's not Batman and not something from a batman movie months away and it's from a movie that tanked at the BO.

I wouldn't be surprised to see some under-the-rug brushin' with this one.

Avatar took 3 times the wait so far for any pics. And it was a huge BO success. Just sayn'.

Re: Hot Toys-MMS: X-Men 1st Class

I don't think it's price at all. You can get him for just under $300, and DX these days cost $215+.

You cannot expect the in-scale Avatar figure to be the same price as a normal 12 inch figure.

I never said it should cost as much as a normal 12' figure, just saying it's a bit ridiculous, considering the lack of accessories and the wait. (almost 30 months).

It's overpriced.

The reason why you're not seeing this is because it's not Batman and not something from a batman movie months away, don't see why since it's from a movie was rated as best of the comic book movies of the year.

Fixed :wave

No it's true.. the slowness on Avatar just made no sense... now no one cares...

1. It's because they had a develop and entire new one-of-kind 18" True-Type body for it :lecture.

2. Maybe you don't care, but you can't speak for all :wink1:

It's because of the price on the figure, He's almost 100$ more then a DX, and he's still an MMS. The price and wait are gonna kill them on that figure.

You talking about Iron Monger? oh wait that's $200 more than a DX, can't be.

Your kind of a condescending ____ for no reason. :dunno

My point is, he (and Iron Monger) are drastically overpriced compared to other, better quality figures that have come out. I was planning on getting Sully until I saw the price. Hell, for 150$ more you can get a damn 1:6 batmobile.

:lol :lol

Best way to make point is to hit someone with something equal that they never considered, it's not a personal attack.

Jake Sully isn't the only HT figure that costs more than a DX, and considering the size and one-of-a-kind development/engineering for them they should cost more.

Well more ideally, they and the DX & MMS should cost less. :monkey3

Re: Hot Toys-MMS: X-Men 1st Class

The body is just a modded TT, It doesn't even look that good, so many joint showing etc. If they would have made a body from the ground up (like we were expecting) the 300$ price tag would be justified.

That is not a modded TT, look at the size of it; the ankle to knee is as big as a whole standard true-type leg and thigh is bigger than the waist up.

Looks huge, can't wait. :yess: :rock

Visible joints are visible on 98% HT True-Types it's their SOP, i don't see why this would be any different. :dunno

They did make the body from the ground up like we were expecting...

Same thing with Monger, body built from the ground up.

That to me is much more justifed than the difference in pricing between Captain America and Red Skull, IMO.

Re: Hot Toys-MMS: X-Men 1st Class

300 sounds right to me for such a badass figure.

Re: Hot Toys-MMS: X-Men 1st Class

I don't know, something seems off scale in that pic. I'm looking at the size of the weapon, it's just a mod a door gunner 60 but why does it look so huge next to Luke?

Re: Hot Toys-MMS: X-Men 1st Class

It's just funny to me that people are dying for this figure, and it will inevitably be released with the blue and yellow suit, and the 'final' outfit with helmeted head and be $199.99 and people will _____ about it and scream about the price and not buy it.

And Hot Toys will throw up their hands and say "____ it, nothing but Batman and Iron Man from here on out, it's the only thing you guys buy"
