Re: "No Name" bodies

Thanks for that side by side comparison! Much appreciated. So these are currently only available on Ebay?

Re: "No Name" bodies

Great review! Thanks. I am still waiting for mine. Colour looks very dark but otherwise great. Maybe this will cause HT to lower their prices on future releases.
Now we need the Advanced...

The True Type I used to compare it to was the Gambit Narrow which is lighter than the other Narrows I've had.

This body is a very natural caucasian color imo.

I get emails from EL Ho/Headplay(?). He updates me with new sculpts and accessories frequently. As soon as I saw this thing in the email I knew a wanted several. I just emailed him back, he gave me his PayPal and sent it directly.

I'll PM you his email address.

Re: Headplay bodies

yet almost everyone will get into a fit if Sideshow's offerings gets jacked (i.e. bootleg & recast).

Not me. I do not see the point about being a fan of a massive company that just wants our money. Naughty of me, I know, but the hobby has become too expensive due to US and Japanese companies, so as recasts and bootlegs don't harm me, I do not really care. If I can get something that is as good as the real thing or at least almost as good, but cheaper, I am fine with that. Plus I have had better dealings with young Chinese companies. Companies like ACI actually have a thread in which people can suggest products for them to make - like Roman legionary army (which me and another guy suggested) which actually go made. HT are from China (though Hong Kong which is more independant) but they are a mega-company land seem less customer friendly than the smaller, younger Chinese companies, and way too overpriced.

Re: "No Name" bodies

Glad to help. You can't beat that price.

I hope these things stay around for a long time. And a No Name Advanced would be great.

Re: "No Name" bodies

Maglor,
thanks for the review.
The advanced is supposed to be the B002 body (pics on page1).
No word from Headplay about the relase of the rest of the bodies.
May you can ask him.
Would also like to know if they will do any slim body.
I d'like to have Headplay email to know about their release too ^^
Did you get a discount on the price ordering directly from him?
Thanks

You're welcome. Although it is called "Advanced" it's just the old standard Wide Shouldered TT body.

For those who wants the body, can pm me....

^^^ That's EL Ho, who I bought the bodies from. :)

Re: "No Name" bodies

Thanks for that, Maglor. I've been following this thread for a while, wanting to see how these turned out.

Thanks for the review Maglor. I went ahead and bought one for around $20 shipped.

$20 shipped? Did you get it through El Ho as well?

Is that how much you paid for them Maglor?

Re: "No Name" bodies

Well I was very happy with both of mine. I think they're excellent considering the cheap price. :D

Re: "No Name" bodies

I ordered 3 from the UK seller... glad to hear these are getting such a positive response. I can usually find TTL bodies for a bit less (around $15 or so) but I'd gladly pay an extra $5-$6 for a tighter better proportioned body like this.
