Me too. Am gonna be selling my Spider-Man which I only got 2 days ago, and my Ghost Rider.

1/6 scale isn't doing it for me anymore. Far too restrictive a scale, they lack realistic proportions, clothing rarely 'works' etc.

As someone who isn't interested in accessories, I just find these HTs to be too expensive for what they are. I feel like a ____ buying these things...they keep getting pricier and pricier.

I had a mate round who was more impressed with my 1/4 NECA Predator than the Ghost Rider.

I much prefer the idea of having a streamlined 1/4 collection... no back catalogue to catch up on, plenty of time between releases...more money left for actually living.

don't get me wrong, I think HT 1/6s are little works of art...but the appeal of them comes from the amount of detail they have at THAT scale. They're the ultimate action figures I guess, but they could never compete with the potential that 1/4 offers. If HT can keep their 1/4 prices in line with EB I'll be a happy man. Rant over:wink1:

i like your way of thinking!! i cant wait to get my first 1/4 scale...any day now.

1/4 scale is just something new, however I think the first few releases by either company will be a deal compared to the later releases as companies attempt to attract new buyers to the larger scale. Don't get me wrong, my EB 1/4 Arnie is the jewel of my small collection but I can foresee prices on the later releases skyrocketing due to increased demand.
If things aren't controlled, we will have the same pickle that we are in right now with things in the high end 1/6 scale market: astronomical prices, and shoddy QC with higher release numbers among many.

It's a real danger. QC is one reason I'm turning away from 1/6 HTs much sooner than I planned. I don't like the idea of shelling out £160-200 on a plastic 12 inch figure for it to be so prone to damage.
It's the accessories that are the problem!

HT Spidey looked great, but try getting those wrist pegs out! I ended up taking away a little bit of fabric with my pliars and now the things devalued. Sure you wouldnt notice it, but I know it's no longer pristine. And that sucks.

Hopefully, larger scales will address this kind of problem.

If HT don't create their 1/4 scales at a similar pricepoint they'll be alienating their customer base. Hopefully they realise this.

Talk of die-cast metal pieces etc on the new Predator lines has me worried too...but if NECA can produce a 19 inch predator that retailed at £65, then I don't see why we can't stick to EB T-800 prices.

Will be a very interesting year for us. Really psyched by what EB are doing right now...

God bless Enterbay for releasing such an epic display piece!

All we need now is the battle damaged Arnie at the same quality and scale.

Prices are going down right now, judging by the current trend. As HT is remaking and relaunching the high priced figures.

Man it's scary to think how good a BD T:4 Arnie will look.

I'm guessing that they will prolly use steel on the endo parts, just like the endo arms that came with the v1 T800. And to be honest, the blood paint looks a bit sub par on the hands IMO.

I think he was referring to retail prices - which are decidedly not going down.

I'll finally be having mine shipped next week. So I will definitely have him this month along with Hot Toys Superman. I was almost gonna have Classic Predator shipped too but it'd push things too far for me right now. Anyway, exciting.

Yeah, while the secondary market prices are plummeting, the actual MSRP prices are on the rise. They're almost leveled with each other now. :lol

:(

I picked mine up this morning from my parents and i'm blown away with how good it is.

Great figure, & I'm really fighting the temptation to get one.

But for cripes sake, won't somebody....anybody...do the freaking paper clip trick under the jacket collar to get a decent looking fit?!
