When_British nightclub DJ Tony Alleyne rebuilt his apartment to resemble_a spaceship from_"Star Trek," he couldn't have foreseen the day when he'd_have to boldly go ... someplace else.
The British tabloid The Sun reports that Alleyne's apartment, in the English town of Hinckley, is actually owned by the wife he's been separated from since 1994. Now she wants to sell, meaning he'll have to leave the space-themed home behind.

Very impressive. He'll have a hard time selling that. I feel for him. To put all that work and effort into that. You can clearly see, and then to have to give it up. Sad. Very sad. But then again, it's not like a place like that is going to sell. It's a very eccentric man's living quarters.

Yeah I saw this and I actually love to see unique renovations like this on homes. I think it looks cool. But l really do feel bad for the Trekkie for all that hard work and money he put into it. But if you're going to do something major like this make sure that YOU own it and no one else. A friend of mine fixed up his pad like Ancient Rome but that's his house and his alone bought and fully paid for.

I wonder did you friend take pics or something? Im just saying maybe he posted them online or somewhere, Ancient Rome, I am really curious by that,

anyways I Agree, why do all that if you don't even own the home,
unless he didn't know,
I guess now He himself could try to buy the house? I mean, he could persuade the ex wife to let him pay it off, or at least rent it, I don't know seems like a possible solution to me

Don't judge. You used to collect statues and dollies at one time. :pfft:

But yes, it's not my cup of tea. Then again, does that matter? It's his.

Im pretty sure it's safe to say when you don't want a bed in the way things have gone way too far. :lecture

That is insane. Amazing craftsmenship. I don't know how you can't feel sad for someone that would lose something like that.

I do a little because divorce is horrible. That said I think this guy needed a reality check. His "addiction" is likely a major factor in his divorce. Maybe he will come to the conclusion that there are far more important things than converting your entire home into a Star Trek ship? These Trekkies or Trekkers take this crap way too far. :lecture

I imagine there must be someone out there willing to buy that apartment as is.

You're having a discussion with a grown man who has a huge fascination with pink ponys. You do not need to explain yourself to him my friend. :lecture

:nana: to Shropt. hehe

There is a HUGE difference. Should I decorate my entire house using Greek mythological creatures, while prancing around in robes, you would probably be onto something.

I know a lot of people who spend all of their time making 1:1 props. Those guys have trouble making things look anywhere near as "correct" as this guys apartment. To think of them losing EVERYTHING like this is mind blowing. And then you think that this is his home too. Simply mind blowing.

I think a lot of you guys just see geek and shut your brains off without thinking of the time and work and what I would call art.

What? I am still trying to get over the loudness that is your signature. :monkey4

But I see where you're coming from. Even this super geek needs a home... a home that's a big children's playset. Gotcha!
