Looks pretty awesome. The only things I think are missing accessory-wise are any Hydra-style pulse weapons (pistol or rifle) and a uniform hat for the Schmidt (Weaving) portrait (which is jaw-droppingly amazing).

I'll see if I can swing it - he'd look great on display next to Cap...

Wow $200 bucks?? :cuckoo:

HT is really making it easy for me to pass on some of their latest offerings particularly this and Black Spidey. If either of these comes in at $170 I'm sold and I pre-order both. But at these prices I really, like many others have said, need to take a stand here and draw a cutoff line. But hey, at least I can now be super selective on my purchases and only buy what I truly, truly desire as a character, and ignore any impulse buys that I used to do. I mean, I want this guy but not that badly.

I kind of want this, but what I really want is a 1:6 comicbook Red Skull in a black Nazi uniform, just like the Sideshow PF.

Pick up the HS off Ebay and a DiD german uniform. Much cheaper than the $200.00 price tag.

This. :lecture Exactly what I'll do most likely here.

I think he does come with a hydra pistol. At least it looks that way.

Am I alone in thinking the Hugo sculpt is the best of all time from Hot TOys? Who is that guy and where did he come from. Yuli is one of the best as is Kojun but the hands behind this Hugo head. Holy smokes.

Those tiny scars on his neck are the reason it won't work for Smith? Pffffft. I Say, dab a little paint there... the collar will cover most of it up anyway

It is a very good sculpt and is very well painted. But I thought the same of the Bruce Wayne prototype, and when the actual figure came out...not so much. Which is another reason I'm hesitant to pre-order this. If the fantastic head sculpt is the best things he's got going for him, and the production figure comes out looking like a Korean knock-off, then that would be a very overpriced disappointment.

Point totally taken. I agree that Bruce Wayne head turned out like crap.

I cant wait to see someone touch up those scars, resculpt the hair a bit, and turn this sculpt into Agent Smith. More excited for that in fact, than I am for this figure.

absolutely...people want more but dont want to pay for it...

cap was 169.99 with one head which was not a full reveal head...

this guy has 2 full reveal sculpts and is only 30 more

just imagine what the sculpts alone will sell for later lol

Exactly, $30 increase is that head alone. He has two outfit display choices not including another 2 options by having a choice in the head as well. Cap has one look, period.

any idea how much landa cost at ssc when he came out?

He was $149.99

so landa was 149.99 with one head and a cheaper film license and actor license but people think this one is over priced?? i dont get it...seems on par with everything else of the last 2 years

Landa was also a few years ago. So $50 increase in 2 years with a second head isn't bad really.

People can't claim likeness rights for everything, there have been tons and tons of Hot Toys with famous actor HS that weren't very high priced

T1000 came with two outifts, Two heads, more hands, two guns and was cheaper, so in that respect this is too little for the price. T1 Arnie came with two reveal heads and was cheaper

I still love this figure, but it's true, & aftermarket pricing should mean nothing really.

The T-800 was $10 cheaper and over a year ago. A $10 increase in one year isn't bad at all.

I understand that the production cost is going up. I understand that the quality is still some of the best in the figure industry. But it also seems that they understand that we will fork out whatever amount to buy these figures.

The prices of 12 inch figures has gone up over 25% compare to last year. That is a very steep climb consider everything else (our salary included) does not inflate this much.

Therefore, I think I am going into semi-retirement on collecting HT figures, coz it is getting to the point that I am seeing 2 $100 bills in my showcase instead of a figure. I just cannot justify spending over $200 on one item that ended up just standing on my shelf. There are other things I need those two bills on.

Maybe there will be one or two exception if I really really wanted that character.. but I am kinda a pathetic completest so it is hard for me to justify buying just one figure from a whole line... hee hee....

Its true, if we stop buying, they'll stop charging through the roof. But the problem is we are weak. If we pass on pre-orderes, they under produce, they go for 4 times on retail, people eventually pay it, HT sees that, makes a V2, newbies snatch it up, veterans complain on the redip but buy anyway because of the new extras not included with the v1, HT makes more money and thinks a V3 is order and the cycle keeps going. We're darned if we do, darned if we don't. HT prices aren't coming down ever. They will only go up. But eventually they will hit a point where collectors just won't be able to pay the price for them and HT will eventually go away. :dunno

On a happier note, HT has been known for adding in accessories not announced in the specs. So if we whine enough for extra guns, we'll likely get one.

:rotfl ha-ha interwebz sarcasm....

you are jesting right??????????:horror

Not at all i was really bummed with that head :( I wanted to love it, proto was great but in actuality the paint apps were not as good, it had dark beady eyes and was severely undersized... almost looked compressed... :(

lol this figure is pretty cool.

I just wish the movie was better
