It's visually neat at times and I enjoyed the music. The story on the other hand (IMO) was not presented well and as such just fell flat (at least for me).

I don't know how anyone could say this doesn't look like Emily. I haven't seen the movie and before even clicking on the preview, I could tell it was her. Looks really good, never like the deppressed looking face on the GG piece. Of course, I'm sceptical whether SS can get the eyes right on this or not.

nope! I know it wouldn't be in full 1:4 scale cuz that would be massive like a 1:2 LSF, but a really large maquette would be awesome. Probably be a $500-$600 price tag though.

I remember when I tried collecting all the POTF figures, I bought a r2d2 with lightsaber for $85 on ebay, received it and found out it was just a regular one, even though I got a refund I kinda lost interest after that and sold my whole collection....of course it was right before they exploded in price, just like my GI Joes sold right before the crazy prices. But they were fun to collect for awhile.
Nope. I love having the GG Babydoll statue in my collection.
I can confirm that the skirt is not sculpted. It's all fabric.

I have to agree with you. I mean I do like the GG piece (though I don't own it) I really like how dynamic this one is and a real fabric costume is an awesome added plus. And I too think it looks a lot like Emily. But like you and everyone else, I'm a bit worried about the eyes. But if I do get this and the eyes do come out wonky, I'll just reliant them. It would suck but it wouldn't be that much of a bummer

Being as you haven't seen the movie, the face on the GG version (you call depressed) is actually how she looked in the movie. She never had this much of an angry expression, even in the biggest action sequences.
More Sucker Punch is always welcome!
Pose and costume detail should be interesting when the reveal comes up. I'm not a fan of Sideshow's face sculpt based on this preview though. The eyes and eyebrows particularly are very cartoonish and look more like they belong on a Lara Croft statue. GG got much closer with their digitally-scanned features, and all it would take to make their Baby Doll look utterly dead-on for Emily is a subtle makeover.
Crazy eye syndrome is always a worry with Sideshow too, so fingers crossed the HK factory gets it right with this one.

Ok, you're correct, for a few tiny moments there was some more expression. The majority of the time, the expression was much more emotionless, sad looking even.
Oh well, I prefer the GG version any day. I'm definitely open minded to seeing the full preview of the statue, but based on the pic posted today, I do not like her face (and especially not her google eyes).

Well just going by the teaser picture her left eye isn't to the side enough I suppose. It looks strange at the angle we are given, but it probably looks better from a side shot in which she would be staring toward your general direction.
