I think those old figures are pretty cool still, but they're definitely not worth the ebay prices they're going for now.

When I all I had was McFarlane's efforts those predators were unbelievably good....now though...notsomuch. I've never felt any need to go back and try for them.

doesn't say anything about SSC on my Shadow or Guardian boxes anywhere. not even a sticker.

i'll never get the appeal for those old HT preds. they look like Hasbro toys. you're better off waiting for HT or somebody else to make new ones that actually look like high-end figures. i think you guys just want what you can't have/afford.
I can tell you that that is definitely NOT the case, because I would still love to have those early figures.

That was back when they still felt like just very accurate figures, before they went up this whole level...if that makes any sense.

All the accessories..have to build them up..etc.
fun

The HT Scar Predator can still run circles around 85% of currently released HT Predator's. The only chink in its armour in order to let other Predator's get a look in might be the unmasked face where the likes of P2 Elder and Shadow might trump it or that some other Predator's such as P1, Wolf, Machiko and Classic have a nice base.

Lol's at the scalpers. I must admit there was many times i was tempted to get shadow when i had money spare and the prices were still stupid but i didnt. However i did pull the trigger (on behalf of my parents getting me one for christmas) and got one for £131 + postage on tuesday morning

Awesome pics. Its a real real shame that there has been 6 releases from the Predator 2 line and every figure is gagging for the ship's interior backdrop to go with it. Yet we havent got one and figures these days are coming with diorama bases and backdrops just for the sake of it :(.

Just got this as an early Christmas present from my gf :yess: I'm very new to Hot Toys as this is only my 2nd one. Whats the best way to undo stiff joints. Does a hairdryer do it pretty well?

May god be with you my friend . Your second hot toys collectible ? You have just entered the point of no return . Welcome to the most expensive hobbie around . My first predator was elder pred p2 and I got everyone after . There's no stopping !!! It's gets a grip on you and takes over your soul . Lololo . My shadow pred is very stiff too. seems to be the case with the new body's . Just turn elbows and what not on a daily bases but don't use a hair drier because they can get to loose .

They will naturally loosen up over time. My Berserker needed to be arm wrestled to move his legs now they are fine. I wouldn't intentionally try to loosen up the joints on the figures because somewhere down the line they will be too loose and you cant undo it. All though if its stiff joints right out of the box id say just let it sit in your house for a day to get up to temperature just in case its been sat in a cold storage depot for days and ceased a bit.
