Holy Crap, that is one of the best picture of this figure. I had to do a double take cause I thought its one of those pix of figure along with the real thing.
I do love the eyes on this figure cause with the right lighting, it almost looks like glass eyes. instead of painted on.

The eyes on this seem strange... in some pictures they really do look glass. But in the wrong angle or very bright lighting, they have that dead, doll-eye look to them.

This is frighteningly realistic! :horror

Only careful viewing of the mouthpiece indicates it's not real (it looks slightly crooked?); that is one of the best I've ever seen 1/6 eyes look.

Thanks! Yah, my vision is probably not what it was (and I was working in the dark) trying different levels of light before I was happy with that one. I was paying too much attention to the eyes, not enough to the mouth!

Man Maglor you sure do misunderstand a great deal of posts. :lol

Basically vodoun's advice to your wife is to cut the cotton bud (or cotton swab as I like to call them . . . those damn UK freaks). Then with the stick of the swab you can get the perfect circular design to form into the sculpey. Just use the stick swab you cut and press into the triangular cape clasp that your wife makes for you.

Basically to achieve this,

:lol I get it now. Thanks for the translation DiFab. I thought vodoun was calling me "bud" which seemed a bit weird I must admit. :p

I think its only when people use flash to take pics. It really sucks when people use flash cause it certainly doesnt flatter the figure. In most cases, it always ruin what the figure really looks like cause it washes out the colors and can make a sculpt have a substantial different look.

Great photos man :clap

Curious - what set up did you use to create these?

Thanks, guys!

Would you believe it's on my parent's kitchen table? I wait until it's dark outside. I have the lights on while I set up my camera on tripod and manually focus the shot.

Then I turn off the lights and using my cellphone as illumination, I take the shot.

I take maybe 3 of each shot trying different light placement.

Then I turn on the lights, repose, try again. It's incredibly time consuming with these figures as i'm sure you all know. I'd prefer to live in New York or Chicago to take these shots with the city behind the figure so i settle with pitch black.

Very similar to my method. But I use my computer monitor for light. And sometimes a flashlight for a secondary light sorce.
