Avengers looks cool and all but 1/4 figures for me would have to be iconic, classic characters.

I don't see any iconic/classic characters in Avengers (movie characters not comic characters)

I agree, man! They can make different scales, but they better make the characters in both scales! I'd hate to see the figures I want in the wrong scale

I wouldn't... with 1/6 you still have space to do elaborate dios and displays, with 1/4s, you'll just have a big ass figure taking up a huge amount of space in comparison. I just don't see myself having more than 3-4 1/4 figures.

i thought i was going to assemble the ss pf. already own the mark vi maquette with thor pf on po.

now this comes out. i dont know, it will be hard to choose between the pf and ht 1/4. at least i know i can skip the ht 1/6 avengers entirely.

Well... I was posting about this option in the TDKR thread. Difference is with the Avengers, we actually HAVE the option of an HT 1/4 scale figure or a SS PF.

Assuming the 1/4 HT figures will retail at around $400 - $500 per figure, I would rather have a PF made of polyresin for $300 - 350.

Cool announcement, but I can't even get everything I want in 1/6, so I'm thinking 1/4 would kick my heinie. A shame. I think I might be able to swing one 1/4 from the Avengers though. I'm thinking Iron Man. But I also like Cap & Thor, so whatever 1/4 looks the coolest to me

Cool, but 1/4 is not my thing.

I imagine a lot of Sideshow PF figures are going to start to show their age once Hot Toys gets going on these, though.

1/4 was not my type either. but try buying one 1/4 and display it next to your 1/6. you can have many cool 1/6 on display but soon as you see the 1/4 in the room, your attention will automatically be diverted to it. 1/4 is just a better attention grabber by default and will simply dwarf all the 1/6, literally and figuratively.

just save the scale for iconic characters is what i'd suggest. too many 1/4 in the room would make the scale much less special imo. to quote from the incredibles: "if everyone is special, then no one is."

Looks like you found an official sneak preview of all planned HT Avengers figures.

Seriously though with as hard a time HT has at completing "teams" in 1/6 scale I've got to imagine it'll be even worse in 1/4. 1/4 IM is a given. Hopefully, hopefully we'll also get a Cap at that scale.
