I still like the Medicom Venom.

Im still hoping hot toys didnt replace new goblin with venom becuase that would be a dumb move, I really hope they still make venom he would look way better than the medicom.

I really like the look of the Medi comic Spideys. Too bad red and blue is so frail. I haven't heard much one way or the other about symbiote version.

I think spiderman does look like he has man boobs and chunky thighs... He actually looks like a regular dude in tights which is awesome because that's what I want. I don't want a comic spiderman I want something that represents the Rami movies and Toby Maguire even though it was only the first one that didn't suck terribly

Honestly, yes. Well maybe... and maybe not...

If recent releases like Comedian has taught me anything it's this; Pretty much anything other than a standard doll with fabric clothes (i.e. rubber bodies/costumes, skins etc.) will eventually deteriorate.

It seems to me the webbing is some sort of rubber... plus its just so thin that in a years time i think we will see the first signs of cracking/rotting on the webbing.

Will the suit stretch? maybe not actually... but leaving it in dynamic poses could be a problem.

IMO the scariest thing with this figure is that there is no way to get the suit off... meaning you leave him crouching for 3 months, you change his pose SNAP his knee breaks off and you are screwed.

The washers in the knees specifically are made out of a rubber.. when its bent in any way it stretches that rubber, and in time the rubber always rots. I had two different godfather knees snap from his sitting position. Only with that figure its no big deal as you simply swap it with a truetype knee..

with spiderman... how are you gonna get that knee out of the pants?

My advice, pose him, take pictures and have fun but when you're done, put him in a decent looking vanilla pose and forget about it... it's not worth accelerating the deterioration time, with a figure like this, is inevitable anyway

Thanks for the helpful advice guys. I'll get some good pics up here as soon as I get my new camera in. My old camera decided to retire itself.

IMO the scariest thing with this figure is that there is no way to get the suit off...

If you are good with a needle and thread (my GF is a master) this shouldn't be too huge a problem.

Actually the "new Knees" and the rest of the Adv. TT body will unlikely fail. The joints might get floppy or loose over-time though. What has failed even so early with this figure are the wrists and ankles. Wrist can easily be swap. Ankles can be repaired through access through the soles of the boots. Your still able to repair/replace the TT at least until the elbow joints (hands/wrist/forearm/elbow)

As for the webbing, I'll keep it away from any contact with other materials. Spandex should be viable/functioning over long periods.

Regarding the knees i hope that's true however my left one is already loose/wobbly. However i've noticed most advanced TTS are like this with at least one leg... I still have my doubts. As you said best not to have the webbing in contact with other materials. I believe that includes itself, so be careful how you bend the elbows or shoulders or other areas where the webbing rubs together.

I'm saying what many of you might not want to hear but you should really consider for your own sake and the longevity of your spider-man. Vanilla poses only. Is it really worth that risk? Play around with him but when you leave him for long periods of time pose him neutrally.

This goes for any figure with a special suit or rubber etc. I followed suit with my original batman and today it looks brand new where most i've seen have creases at the shoulders from posing.

I'm talking about the movies in general for a sec though. The figure is great, but the character was done quite wrong in the movies. Quick question. Would anyone be able to take Wolverine seriously if he was 5ft 3inches in every movie?
