Lol and I wouldnt even dare enter a Batman thread, even if I wanted to say something nice...because all the fanboys would freak because it wasnt nice enough lol

Well ever since the dark knight people have been riding the batpole, Now expectations for tdkr are gonna be through the roof.

The BB thread is pretty combative, but it's not 'cause of fanboys. There's a noob infestation over there, every 50-post-and-under halfwit popping in to ask questions the answers to which are either a few pages back in the thread or on the SSC FAQ page. Then there were the people moaning about how SS ruined their life because of how they handled the PO. Then there was the moaning because the ES was predicted to be very low, and then it was because the ES turned out to be too high. Moan moan moan, it's hilarious.

On a Spidey note, a few of the QC issues have me concerned enough to push the button on my POL. Thing is, Spidey is the first figure in the POL, and I'll have to wait for whenever Dragon bring out their astronaut, or even longer for Jack, Indy and Cap. Shipping just for Spidey is nearly $70!

I'll have to write to BBTS, ask what they will be able to do about a replacement, if needed, in October say. I don't like the chances with the way this figure has been selling. Hmm....

I don't think you'll have a problem getting a trade for that. Vader is worth a fair amount more than Spidey on eBay. Though your location in the UK might make it a bit tougher.

Got him,

Good figure... Lots to love, few minor nitpicks...

1) no chin...
2) webs just look bad in hand... The projecting ones droop too... Good idea poor execution...

:exactly:

As soon as I saw them in pictures I seriously doubted I would ever use them. The drooping makes them pretty much unusable in my book.

Chin doesn't bother me though.

Sent mine in today for a replacement. (should be a few weeks before i get my other)

Can't believe that i was one of the few to get one with broken webbing. But even with so it was an awesome figure, and if i get another with it i'll just deal with it.

Think i might get the black one as well seeing as how good this one is.

So wait, it actually came broken?

Seriously anybody got some pics where the web lines look cool? Short of setting it up in a detolf where you string up them in a non limp position they are just lame in every way... I wish there was a mid range one, just starting to sprout out of his wrists.

Hmm, interesting idea. That would actually be an easy mod...

[Edit]
Just cut one.

:lol Pretty much.

A little tweaking to the end where you cut it (maybe melting?) and it would look great.

Vader is fetching more on ebay at the moment, but you won't find a trade on ebay, just a sale. You'd find a trade on SSF, but how many freaks would make this trade? Not more than a couple months back a freak was offering Vader plus a stormie for $200.

Like I said in the Vader thread, farrrs would be better off IMO making the sale and then putting the funds towards Spidey.

I'm in Australia too, why so high?

Apparently Spidey is in a big arsed box and weighs over 6lbs. Standard 3.5lb HT figure shipping on its own from BBTS using UPS is around $50 max.

I noticed tonight that my stand is also wonky. If I try to pull the metal deal out too high now, it splits the plastic pieces apart. Of course, the first HT figure in a long time that I need spare parts for, and it's the one that no one is parting out.

I bet that lot sold to the one of the first two or three people who saw it, then. I agree that it would be better to sell, but if farrs wants to trade, I don't think it would take long for someone to take him up on it since Joe Schmoe could trade for it, re-sell vader for $250+, then use the profits to buy another Spidey and then some.

Honeslty this figure :rock I had to compare several in hand and finally got one that i was pretty pleased with. One very minor area where the stitiching was off slightly but i can deal with that.

How did you get an opportunity to pick from multiples of opened figures?

someone just told me this Spidey looks like he has man boobs...

yeah thanx! was thinking of the ebay route but thought a trade would be less hassle and a quicker process! i would make enough on ebay to pay for spidey as i got vader at retail price (£80-absolute bargain!-he goes for double that on ebay uk on the rare occasion hes on there!)
