New to Predators, and I haven't seen the first movie. I did see the latest Predators movie however. Would you guys recommend buying this one over all the other Predators? I doubt I can really afford buying another for a while.... Kinda want to get a Berserker as well...

One of my all time favorite movies. If you haven't seen it, hurry up and go get it. It's on BD now, or you can pick up the P1/P2 2-pack.

Damn. I can't imagine how awesome the original is gonna seem to someone who hasn't seen it, and uses Predators as a point of reference. It will probably feel like he just saw Citizen Kane or the Godfather for the first time.

Differences between this and the P1
this thread is not terribly long yet, and if I'm not mistaken that question has been answered (in detail) about every 6 or 7 pages. Enjoy or company and read back a bit if you are really interested. Not directed at anyone specific and not written to intentionally sound like an $ick, but I often unitentionaly sound like one.

I have to agree. There are some lazy a** people here that can't actually scroll up or go back a page to get a question that has been answered ad nauseum. Maybe we can get the differences stickied in big red font at the top of the page?

don't let these old fogies get your hopes up. all the Predator movies are pretty much the same entertainment-wise. if you liked Predators, you'll probably like Predator and Predator 2. but don't let other people's nostalgia dictate what you should or shouldn't like more.

as far as the figures go, this one is definitely the coolest one made from this movie. just because of all the accessories and the base it comes with. but, you'll want to get the Berserker, Falconer, Royce, and Tracker as soon as you can because they'll be harder (and more expensive) to get over time.

Im in the UK but as ive never used Sideshow before for a figure whats the usual VAT charge?

on figures i think it's 20% (statues are less at about 5) but don't forget fed ex's admin fee which adds about a tenner or more.

Statues have now changed to 20%. Item & Shipping cost and then 20% of item and shipping cost for the VAT + the Standard £10 Fedex charge, and likely a 2.75% charge from your bank

However, depending on the incoterm used on the SSC invoice you may not be charged VAT on the shipping cost. Near as i can tell, FCA term means you will be charged VAT on the shipping, DDU means you won't.

I think with Classic, that put the list over 20. There are a couple of 2nd edition releases on the list, though.

look through them and decide for yourself. the ones that say "Sold Out" can be very, very expensive for you to get now. you can get those on here or ebay. and that's pretty much it.

i own the original ht predator 1. but guess what, I WILL STILL BUY this.

you get more!! you get new base, new face detail, metal blades, some new accessories. extra mask.

I own the original P1 pred ( as well as a few others) and im most defiantly gettin this too!
