I don't even get why religion's being brought up other than a bunch of ____tards who jumped to conclusions in the beginning (and wound up eating crow). It was a crazy bastard who felt like killing a bunch of people and came up with what has got to be one of the ____ing dumbest reasons I've ever read. "Because people are killing innocent people and I want it to stop I'll kill more innocent people!" :cuckoo:

Sorry, but we'll have to agree to disagree. I don't hate humanity.

I don't hate it either, I just feel sorry for it (and by definition sorry for myself being a part of it, useless). I'd love to hear some good reasons not to feel that way.

I don't know if religion is a source of any terrorism, as much as general inability to make change via other methods. I just think people think that its impossible to make an impact on society.

In earlier times you could make an impact in a smaller setting and I think people felt successful in making positive impacts. I think the smaller the world has gotten via technology and government, the bigger the message needs to be to filter through the noise and make an impact. As I said earlier from every scale people are turning to violence to convey that message, be it religious, political or whatever.

Perhaps when you can begin to evaluate it on a case by case basis, and not fall prey to lumping it all into one big pile of ____, things will be clearer for you.

Kinda sounds hypocritical coming from you, but I don't disagree.

How do people live with themselves knowing they've taken someones life and ruined familes forever. No matter how mad or angry you get it's no reason to take someones life or your own for that matter. Things always get better I swear they do. I just don't understand how you can let evil control you like that. Now that guy's life is gone along with the kids he selfishly killed. Its a damn shame.

l dought he really had a reason for this. everyone hates something, people, governments, other religions, laws or whatever. he just hates life and himself and takes it out on everyone else by killing others. he killed a bunch of people because he is crazy. him saying it's because of muslims or governments is just him preaching more of his screwed up thoughts. the reason he did this is because he's crazy.

He was 100% Christian. Ask Rock83 for details.

He called himself a conservative christian but his actions is kinda going against his own religion. In his own sick mind he wanted to be a man free from the acts of the government and "Win the war against Muslim"-His own words.
In his manifesto he explains history between christians and muslims, and goes all the way back to the crusades.

This guy lives in a bubble,he was a sick man that haven't faced reality.

Matthew 7:21-23
21 Not everyone who says to Me, "Lord, Lord," shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
22 Many will say to Me in that day, "Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?"
23 And then I will declare to them, "I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness."

Like I said, calling yourself a christian or doing things in his name doesnt make you one.
Jesus has the last word on that.
If he had a problem with some casting out demons in his name for the fame how much more is he going to be repulsed by a nut who gunned down numerous innocents?

Jesus has the last word on that.

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. (Romans 1:17)

But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. (Galatians 3:11)

Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. (Hebrews 10:38)

Given the latitude available to anyone who wholly gives themself over to the cognitive state of pure faith, I'm pretty sure that there is no objective standard by which to determine whether the voice of one man's object of faith is any more right than the voice of another man's.

It's by faith, not works, that man enters the kingdom of heaven.

While CapRez may say Christ reserves the right to say who is really "Christian" I would say perhaps Christ also reserves the right to say who isn't Christian. So really CapRex's whole point is moot.

Funny reading this because for some ____ed up reason, some Freaks posting here don't think this same rule applies to al-Qaeda, Hamas or the Taliban. :monkey1

Yeah. It's by the exact same reasoning that this killer could have convinced himself that those condemning him are not true Christians. Islamists reason this way when they claim that moderates are not true Muslims.

People have said the same about the Boy Scouts of America for decades. BSA never taught politics though. I admit I'm weirded out by political summer camp.

Meh, he's an attention whore and is just pathetically desperate for ratings. :monkey1

FYI: Islamists =/= Islamic Extremists
