But what about the fact that it was essentially stolen?

If Tony wanted it back, would he be able toget it? Legally?

I would think that it would fall under a different type of law than weapons/devices/vehicles that were 'captured' during warfare, since Tony is a United States citizen. Illegal seizure?

Well the question was about the Hammer stuff which is what I was responding to. It was technically stolen but I'm sure there's some US law somewhere on the books that makes it legal. Regardless Tony wouldn't press charges in the first place because he planned to get Rhody to steal it.

I'm sure you're right. Interesting stuff, though.

Seeing that deleted scene, how cool would it be to get an un-helmeted Don Cheadle head? I still hope we get the Rhodey Mark II helmet/head, but an un-helmeted head would be a nice bonus too.

Any other characters from this film that HT would like to release? We still don't have any Hammer Drones, a Nick Fury would be cool too.

I'm hoping for a Whiplash armor from this film a long with the drones from each branch of the military.

For Iron Man (first movie), I'm still hoping that they really are working on an Iron Monger.

Yeah I'd like to see Iron Monger and an accompanying new BD MKIII in the new MKII mold.

Yep. It's called hollywood movie magic. Still cheesy though. :)

A non-cheesy explanation may be that there were explosive bolts on the dropship coupling arms that fired it away from the ship as they released - that would make sense in a low gravity environment and would also be beneficial in an emergency.
The Sulaco EEV from Alien3 definitely had explosive bolts that fired it away from the hull.
Also, the airlock has artificial atmosphere in it that's released into the upper atmosphere of Acheron as the doors open -- the dropship would be aided in it's evacuation by this...

Hey what can I say, it's in my top 5....
