The shovel hooks were easy for me... I just pinched the backpack's holes close together, hooked, and let go.

Unless I'm understanding something wrong here.

EDIT: Ah, I see you meant the clips on the pack that hold the shovel? Yeah it's a pretty tight fit.

i had to straighten out the snap/pin on his top button and shovel. after that they both closed fine. the helmet headband/strap is ridiculously tight and has little to no give in it. i pulled it up then pulled the straps up through it, put the paper in the headband and pulled it all back down. took a bit but finally got it like i wanted it.

after i finally got everything on like i wanted it i wet him down and let it dry so everything would hang the right way. have to say this is probably one of my favorite figures i own.

i may unpack the ruck and repack it with some heavier weighted stuff. would love to see if i could get it to hang like a real pack as well so it acutally looks like it has something inside of it with some weight. one of the guys on osw was talking about removing the stryofoam and fitting the bandolier out with small fishing weights to get it to hang right. he posted some pics of previous bashes where they were used and they looked pretty cool.

Thanks for all the input guys. I tried for ever to mess with the shovel, but finally gave up on it.
The auction ended on March 22nd. I couldn't believe that one sold the night before for $90 shipped, so I made sure to snipe bid this one.

Great pics of Barnes guys! The head sculpt and the gear are amazing. I love the movie and I really never considered getting any of the figures. But Barnes looks pretty awesome!

Good to see more pics! I better take some myself. This line may need more hype if its to get finished.

I received the 1/6 marlboro pack and the death card today. Quick delivery. also a M60 machine gun field manual that I didn't specifically order, a complimentary bonus from Onesixthscalekings or possibly something which goes hand-in-hand with the death card and I just didn't realise?

The cig pack is cool, I think I'll give it a cellophane(sp?) outer wrapping if I can though. I don't want it getting worn during the anticipated hassle of getting it into the tight helmet band.

I recommend to anyone to get the marlboro cig packet - its always on his helmet in the film, kind of a distinguishing feature in some distant shots where you're otherwise not sure who you're looking at.

That's just the way they look in pics. I don't know why, but the color is more greenish in person ( at least on my figures).
