Frank, no doubt we all have our own preferences but the fact remains, not voting for a complete Fellowship in PF will do nothing to guarantee you ever get any of the PF's you want. Personally speaking, there's alot of PF's I'd like to see SS produce before the remaining Hobbits, but I've also watched three LOTR lines flatline in the past fews years and I think it's time we as LOTR fans/collectors rally around each other, as opposed to going our own way. Who knows, the day may come when you need the help of other collectors in order to get SS to consider some of the PF characters you've listed above, just as 'maquette only' collectors may need the assistance of PF collectors 2-3 years down the road when there's not a Hobbit maquette in sight.....and if that day ever comes, good luck to any of those who sat by and did nothing to help out their fellow LOTR collectors when they had the opportunity to do so. And if we, as LOTR collectors, can't be bothered to prove SS wrong concerning Hobbits, I think it safe to say you can kiss goodbye any hope of Sam, Bill, or Bilbo. :lecture

I don't necessarily disagree with anything you said above and your passion is commendable as usual. But personally I don't think a write in campaign for characters that may just sit in a warehouse (IMHO of course) does nothing to show Sideshow how passionate us Lord of the Rings fans are. The big problem with the flatlining lines is that they were providing products that simply weren't desirable. I think it's important to let Sideshow know that us Lord or the Rings fans are serious about supporting this license but to honestly let them know what items we want and will purchase with our hard earned cash. Say we can get enough people to write in and influence Sideshow to produce Hobbit PF's and/or finish the nine. What happens if when it comes time to actually put up the cash to buy these products not enough collectors do and they sit in the warehouse collecting dust? Won't that do more to damn this license than a show of support? I know the saying is the pen is mightier than the sword, but in Sideshow's case, it's the dollar is mightier than the pen. :grouphug

I used to collect everything but in the last couple years I've stayed my madness. :panic: :D and now pick and choose. As a matter of fact, the Morgul Lord is the first PF I haven't purchased because I just don't like the way it looks. :duh :lol So basically to make a short story long, I believe it's important to give feedback that is honest which will hopefully sustained this line the longest with our purchases. :)

Plus you have to wonder how many people e-mailing in will actually buy the PF's. Some people e-mailing in are only doing so to support their fellow LOTR collecting forum-using buddies.

I can't disagree with you, if SS produces Hobbit PF's and they sit on the shelves the results will be disasterous. But SS isn't going to produce all three remaining Hobbits at the same time. In one of the form letters I provided [#8], I specifically requested SS produce a Sam PF first, as a way to "put us to the test". I don't think any PF collector in their right mind would then turn around and blame SS for not producing PF's of Merry and Pippin should a Sam PF flop. I also mentioned in several of those form letters that in order for Hobbit PF's to sell, the quality has to be there....and from some of my conversations with SS that is something they are well aware of. I don't think anyone around here is going to argue with the fact that the quality of SS's PF's [where likeness is concerned] is significantly better today than it was a few years ago when SS was producing PF's such as Frodo, GTW, and Galadriel and I firmly believe if SS produces PF's of Sam, Merry, and Pippin they will sell if the likeness/quality is there. Certainly not in the thousands, but I do not think ES's in the 500 to 750 range are unreasonable at all.

But the first step in getting a complete Fellowship is to let SS know we want a complete Fellowship....that's it. And this is something they have specifically asked us to do. They're not asking us to part with our money, they're simply asking us to show some support for the remaining Hobbits. If we can convince them we are serious about the Hobbit's then they will produce one, and at that point it will be up to us to prove with our wallet's just how serious we really are.

I'm a longtime lurker but felt it important to let Sideshow know they need to complete the fellowship in both the premium format and maquette lines. Email sent.

Welcome Jhobbit, and thanks. :wave You've been added to our list.

For those still waivering as whether or not to support the remaining Fellowship (especially Hobbits), take the time to read some of the great letters that have been put together and then put your request in.

Behind every great warrior, wizard or elfling prince, there was a Hobbit keeping hope alive :lecture

I'd say everyone around here who plans on contacting SS has already done so.... hopefully it will be enough. With this recent Hobbit blitz, I have to believe they are now at or near the top of all LOTR PF requests.

I sent these questions to SS last week and they were good enough to respond today in their Q&A segment. Posted in the the LOTR Q&A thread as well, but I can't think of a more fitting thread to post this response than right here. This is the news we have been waiting for.....mission accomplished! :fireworks

Question : LOTR fans have begun a campaign in an attempt to convince Sideshow we want a complete Fellowship in Premium Format and that includes ALL REMAINING HOBBITS! What kind of response have you received? -AND- Is it enough for SS to finally relent and give us a complete Fellowship in PF?

Answer : Our Creative Director and design teams have heard you. We’ve received a very healthy response to our challenge, and the Shire has been heard. The Hobbits will see release in statue form, and we will be moving forward with designs for PF versions as well. We’ll be updating you from time to time as things become more concrete.

Fantastic :fireworks

Well done to all LOTR PF collectors :clap and a big thank you to those of you who are not, but still put in a request :hi5:...really appreciate it guys. :bow

You :rock

Agreed. A big thanks to all who participated in our campaign, esp. those who really had no vested interest in Hobbit PF's, but did so anyway. :clap

This just goes to show, we as LOTR fans/collectors can make a difference. :lecture

Just glad that things are moving ahead in a positive direction for all Ringers. That is the best thing. :rock

I sent my letter to SSC and completed the poll. Complete the Fellowship SSC!

Oh, I guess I was a little late.

Better late than never I guess.
Hey you did it, that's the main thing and we thank you :wave

Welcome to posting in the Forum Magik, I see you been here a while :lol

:woo, we are getting Hobbits.....I'm still excited :woo

...The Hobbits will see release in statue form, and we will be moving forward with designs for PF versions...

Just saying. :monkey3 :peace

:lol Well, if I have the option of SS saying they are "moving forward with designs for PF versions" or saying "Sorry, we don't think there's enough interest to warrant Hobbit PF's" I know which one I'll take. :wink1:

Think of the bright side. At least you know you're getting the Prologue Elven warrior PF you so desire....oh wait, that's a maquette design....never mind. :naughty
