Re: 1/6 Cantina Booth

Cheers man I really appreciate the offer..... I am gonna try to snag a couple of ebay and me old mucker DeathStalker has come up tiptop trumps and is popping one in the post yeeepppeeeeee.....

Now I have been over in the STAR WARS section!! Shock horror I ventured out of the customs... only to post pics on the Cantina and Greedo section... then I got sidetracked.. and highjacked the thread with APES :( I bet they hate me..... ahah..

I wanted to pop a couple of shots up from that shoot. I had sooo much fun..

I am really trying hard to take less pictures and get them spot on with out even so much as a levels layer on photoshop... and I am proud of my self as I only used it to crop and resize.... not that there is any thing wrong with ps...

Re: 1/6 Cantina Booth

You know you're a true artist when you can get perfect results right from the camera. :clap
Cinematographers don't even do that these days, you look at raw footage from behind the scenes and it's essentially crap. Very nice work!

And as you can see, I too poked my head out of customs, only to find the Greedo/Cantina thread, and got sucked in looking at your amazing piccies! :panic:

And they hate you? Haha, it's almost like you've got em riled up. They're going wild, and actually even enjoying the derailment, I think!

Re: 1/6 Cantina Booth

ooww man dont say that DP :( I feel bad enough as it is... I am so used to this section and everyone knowing how sidetracked I get and derailing threads and we all do it and we all love it!!!!!... I

Ahh shucks thank Parker. The plaque loos great in the dark..... not so good in daylight though hahhahaa

Don't feel bad, they went... APE over your pictures! :rotfl

:lecture Some people in the Star Wars section seem like stuck up jerks anyway, a little bit of derailment every now and then is probably good for them. Remind em how to have fun once in a while. It was still the cantina anyway, so it wasn't completely derailed... :lol

...So when are you gonna make the bar? Those thirsty aliens have to get their drinks from somewhere!

I suppose until then they'll just have to drink your shampoo while you're taking a bath...

See Dorgs what did I tell you? :lol

:clap Looking good, now get to work on the bar! ;)

I can't wait to see the cantina finally all filled up with aliens! :panic: You've GOT to make the bar now. That'd make an AWESOME photoshoot! :yess:

Re: 1/6 Cantina Booth

That pic is so great, in fact, that I couldn't keep my grubby paws off it in trying to make it look even more like the movie - it was fun to play with!

I used this pic for reference:

I hope you aren't offended, the original shot was still awesome. :)

that's great! the smoky atmosphere is excellent.
how could I be offended?
I barely did anything, it's Dorg's hard work that makes it look good!

Re: 1/6 Cantina Booth

"IG-88 seems to be primarily built from parts of aircraft scrap, though most of his parts have yet to be identified. The droid's head was constructed from a Rolls-Royce Derwent jet engine burner can with slight modifications and additions. Similar burner cans were originally used as part of the distillery behind the bar in the Mos Eisley Cantina in A New Hope. A similar prop also appears in a junkyard in "Dawn of the Gods", an episode of the British science-fiction series Blake's 7 which aired in 1980."

Re: 1/6 Cantina Booth

:clap Nice pic feroze! It looks a little green though...

What I did on the other one is:

-I added a layer of clouds, gaussian blurred it slightly, then turned down the opacity, and erased most of it around Luke and the foreground areas.

-Then I duplicated the smoke layer and set it to multiply and put it underneath the smoke to make everything slightly darker.

-Then I used the eyedropper and got a sample of the color of the wall in the reference pic, and I made a whole layer that color, set it to overlay, and fiddled with the opacity until it looked about right.

Hope that helps! Unless you just wanna do these pics quick and post em up here...
