My nephew broke one of my MR .45 sabers when he was 10 months old. Had to kill him.

Then I fixed it with superglue. Just like new. When my sister asked me why the baby was dead, I said don't worry and handed her the glue.

:lecture Wilcocrew is no longer invited to family functions :lol

Like just about everyone here breaking stuff is just part of the hobby... if you have enough high-end pieces its eventually gonna happen. Luckily most stuff is easily repairable with super glue and a bit of touch-up paint.

Hahaha. I did tell him about it in the end though and he was cool. And as a matter of fact, the figure was actually a gift suggestion of mine since he was a big fan of that license and he wasnt privy to the hot toys stuff. :lol

Probably wouldn't have gotten the figure if it weren't for me :monkey3

i am really good at snapping fingers or weapons while setting up statues and figures...my wife quietly sets the super glue next to me as i am opening the box

An even better question is whether or not a figure has been so frustrating to assemble that you considered breaking the damn thing.

I still have traumatic memories of swapping the batteries on Kane and Dallas :cuss

:lol Luckily I haven't had that problem yet. But that's probably because most of my stuff are PF's with little assembly or 12" figures where the assembly is pretty much posing them.

I haven't broken one to smitherines, but I have tipped one and the removable hand came out, and with it, it took a small chunk off of a cuff. I was devastated, haha. Hopefully that never happens again.Oh, wait, it did. I broke off one of my electric tiki Willow's fingers. Put it back on with super glue.

Just wait... you'll eventually come across a HT figure that requires some assembly and you will break something and loose your f'n mind!!! :lol

I have no doubt. There have been plenty of times I've nearly lost my mind trying to put something together. In fact, I recall beating one piece of a clothes hamper with another piece of the clothes hamper once. :lol

Not a SS piece but a model I was working on...funny story actually :gah:

Not sure how many of you are familiar with warhammer 40k...but anyway...I had spent weeks, hours upon hours at painting this "bloodthirster" which essentially is a big devil like creature with an axe and wings...I have a work station with a spinning chair and once I have finally put the finishing touches on my bloodthirster I sat back and decided I was going to have a drink of OJ to celebrate ( I really like OJ) I left the bloodthirster on my workstation about 4 inches from the edge. I stood up took two steps while spinning my chair in its place...the back of the chair caught his batwing and flung him across the room. He smashed into pieces. the end.:gah::gah::gah::gah:

I played Warhammer for 10 years. I really feel for you :(

I broke the tab on the back of my Cpl Hicks where the light goes. Also the lock on the heart broke right out of the box.

I think my favorite part of this story is that you really like OJ :lol

My HT Berserker came with a faulty light. Which was annoying, but not the end of the world. Then his leg snapped off at the knee. That set me off. I could see how electrical wiring at that scale could be prone to defects. But a knee joint? It's like it was glued straight or something. Seems like a simple joint shouldn't be prone to a symptomatic defect like this. Great figure, but really poor quality control.

My friend got the Berserker too, and he's the scared kind. has NEVER even changed alternate hands for any Predator. When I went to pose the Berserker for him (I do his HT's as he's a scared fellow and if anything goes wrong he can blame me, and I have been repairing his stuff for sometime now) neither the knee NOR the crotch would move. I used a little hair dryer to free it up. but then saw the light function wasnt working. He wouldnt let me tinker with it as he said he wont display the Berserker with the mask... which I think is really sad! the Berserker IS the Mask!

Avenger, don't let it bother you. If you look hard enough at your pieces, you will find something wrong with EACH and EVERY one.

there is no such thing as a Perfect Piece, and when people say their piece is flawless, they're bull____ting.

That display of all the Ninja Turtles together is pretty awesome. I hate I had to pass on those.

The odd little HT bits that broke and I never had replaced have worked great with super glue. All that stuff that i could superglue likely came unglued in the first place anyway.

I had two falls and chips both my fault, Ironically to two different Robert Deniro heads from Kai on two different ocasions.

First the bloody taxi driver was because i dd not use a stand for a few hours and his tip of his moehawk chipped. I painted over the spot with brown.

The second I was hastily rearranging my shelves and my finger threw up the shelf my young Godfather was on and he fell backwards rubbing a few strands of hair off the back of his head. I repainted that part.

I obsessed and obsessed over the exact shade of brown and texture and then a week later realized I needed to lighten up and did'nt care anymore because you can't tell anyway.

Its true you care less after a few days. those two don't bug me anymore. I did scrape the original TDK Outfit batman. That bugged me to the point where i liked the figure less.
