i think it's a great piece, but he's just kinda standing with a flag. so i'd say the new mark VI would look better in that group also.

then again thors just looking to the sky and cap is day dreaming, while hulks doing the hot trot. so they all are out of place if you know what i mean.

I dig what you're saying. So, are you just not a fan of the museum type poses in general?

You must be younger than me. That is the IM I grew to love as a boy. I definitely dig some of the other IM armors, but that one will always be the "true" IM to me... the way I will always picture him when I think of him.

I grew up in the 80s, and similar to some others here, Classic Iron Man is the only truly iconic Iron Man. However, I do wish they would have given him Mark VI's pose. I seriously considered picking up the Mark VI for my Avengers group instead of the classic Iron Man for the pose. But at the end of the day I've gotta go with the look that I like the best, weird choice of pose and flag be damned. As I have had him in my collection, I have actually grown to like that piece more and more.

Now I just need that damn Thor!

not generally, but at least with the classic IM ssc has a great EX. feature and very detailed base that makes up for it. also the flag (though many hated it) added a great pressence to it

personally the base is almost as impressive as the statue itself, like the recent Psylocke and Lara Croft pieces.

now pieces like the Gambit PF and Ms Marvel, the main reason i didn't order them is because the bases just plain sucker imo.
