I too went back and forth over whether to order the Mark IV or VI, in the end I just liked the more classic look of the Mark IV, but there were so many features of the VI that were enticing.

I think I made the right choice.

Thanks for the in person pictures Demimatt. These have just cemented the tie for me so still a decision is needed quick :(.

Does the VI have the same knee articulation ?. He is listed with the same amount of articulation 36 so I would hope for the same movements.
ATM its a argument of looks and accessory's. Articulation and movements range could move the balance.
If I can get the shades and doughnuts listed from IV on ebay cheap also I would be happy with IV.

And is it me or does 4 come of looking more gloss than 6 or is that just the way your pictures came out ?. Also yes the "girdle" of 4 seems to be a darker colour while 6 seems lighter and matt.

Freaking awesome!!

Can't wait for this guy and to see the RDJ head.

the Mark IV. underpants. appears colorless
is garnet. Will I have problems of discoloration. as the soft parts of the Mark III?

I do not trust hottoys:(

Both the 4 and 6 have rubber parts in the waist (diapper) so there will be that, however keep them out of sunlight and use LED lights when lighting them, since they do not eminate heat.

The lights that they had at sdcc were super strong so deterioration will occur under those conditions.

Thanks again for the pics Demimatt! I dunno though, the Mk VI's rigid appearance could easily be attributed to the guy that set him up for display. And the main concern I have for the Mk IV is the proportions, the Mk VI seems to be more screen accurate in that regard.

So tempted to go with IV though, he has a much earlier ship date in his favor :gah:

Don't choose. Cancel something else and get both :)

No way, its only worth it to get both if you have all the previous Marks. I sold my BD MK 3 to get the MK4. I really want one gold/red IM in my collection and as much as I would love the 2 its just too expensive.

Anyways back to my point the MK 6 looks cool but I never saw the movie. Honestly I dont care to watch 2, I got war machine because its boss as hell, but the MK 6 is meh. I also love how the MK4 looks more like the invincible IM from a couple years ago (comic series) and the same design from Director of Shield.

Anyways think about release and price. We all know the MK6 isnt worth the exclusive price, and even then its still 200, where you can get the MK4 for 160 ish shipped and it comes with THE DOUGHNUTS AND GLASSES + HEAD!

I mean BD gear is cool but whatever, you can only display one and while you can buy multiples or switch out parts. I am willing to bet the MK 4 can outpose the MK6, why do I say that?

I GOT SOME PICS OF THE JOINTS! Well one but point being is the weird proportions of the MK4 are worth something.

Even though there is a gap there it still adds to more poseability where the MK6 is super blocky and huge which Ill bet will limit some of that.

I'm betting both the IV and VI will end up having the exact same proportions ..i mean ..why would there bodies be different? the only thing that changed in the movie was the chest piece and some parts going gray.

I wish that were true, but look at the Mk III vs the Mk III BD. Same Mk, very different proportions :( If the original Mk III would have had the polish of the BD it would have been perfect :slap

Screw this indecisive crap already, I'm getting both :hi5:

There, done.

Bring it on Hot Toys.

Delay WM anymore and i'll start calling you Luke Warm Toys :lol

After looking at the pros/cons I think I am going for Mark 4. WM is inf or sure. Secured my PO at Alter Ego over the weekend. Anyone have an idea on when they will stop the PO for Mark 4?

WHERE can I get this for $160 shipped? Link anyone?

Glad in a way that indecisiveness has spread. Despite the possibility of VI having the same articulation but more limited range concerns me.
As posted, the fist to the ground look is something I'd like in my case at some point but I'd be moving poses every few months.

I hope to somehow display all my collection in non static staring at attention looks. I would like to get them all involved and create some action inside. I was planing on trying to get some "crossed universe" looks going, Batman V Predator etc. So the battle damage would play to that.
But the more "authentic and traditional" Iron man look of IV has its appeals to along with doughnuts and shades. I see a good CSI scene there. :p.

I talk about wanting both equally and cant chose but I cant find a reasonable priced IV in the UK so the choice may ultimately be taken from me. I could get from eBay cheap from China but no doubt I will be hit on importation fees.
Previous posts seem to say that IV WILL be out in a month or two? and to expect VI Jan next year ?.

arghh, I should of stayed clear of collection anything bigger than NECA figures. Dam you all to collector hell !.

Prior to me purchasing my first 12" a few months back, NECA figures were the king of the crop for me. Now I can't see myself spending my money on anything other than 1:6 scale.
