I really want to like this cinemaquette...but something is just "off". Maybe my expectations were too high because I am a big Superman fan, but I just can't pull the trigger on this.

I've already said what is "off' to me about this sculpture. The "poofy" hair, and that one eye that is slightly smaller than the other. I'm a HUGE fan of Christopher Reeve as Superman, and I just cannot, and will not pay for this statue. Hopefully Hot Toys Reeve Superman when...and if it is made will be "dead-on" like it should be, and this statue should have been!

I think that the nose is 10% too narrow, too.

New pictures from A____. Best yet IMO. Likeness is there for sure.

Just shows what a difference good photography makes for a piece, highlighting the detail of the sculpt which captures the likeness of Reeve perfectly. Well done Asaka, its indeed a beautiful maquette.

Very impressive pics of this piece. Something about the eyes don't do it for me. Better paint apps would probably bring them out more.

That still looks pretty bad,..Bobby C 1/3 Reeve looks way superior,...he looks too gaunty,;...his face is too skinnish,..like he is sick or something,..meeehh,..

I think that would be my critique as well... looks like he's either sucking in his cheeks or that he's been sick for the past few weeks.

Overall an impressive piece, but the likeness is just not there for me.

Is Bobby C pricing his version about the same as CM? I am assuming his price may be way over CM.

I still don't know why people docent see this, from day one that's was the problem.......:dunno

Rumor is the Bobby C Superman is going to cost about $4-5k for a completed one.

Here are some pics of mine. In person, I think the likeness of Reeve is definitely there. The photos don't portray the likeness well due to the silicon material used..there are details on the face that the pics just do not seem to capture (i.e. facial lines, pores, texture etc).
