Holy Sheet!!! BD Iron Man just arrived and is he ever awesome

I can honestly say I prefer almost every aspect of this figure over the original. I was a bit concerned the weathering would be too much, but in person the eye is drawn more to the paint job and the weathering has more of a normal wear and tear look.

Hey, is there any trick to getting the display stand arm into the base? Seemed like it didn't want to fit on mine and I didn't want to break anything in the process.

You have to push in the second side of the stand in the socket, while the first one is already in, u know?

Skipped out on the original run of the Iron Man figures but just got this one off Ebay for a decent price. Looked to good to pass up and I gotta have something from this sweet ass movie!

Yeah, I was wanting to get something from the first movie. I thought the Mark III was cooler than the IV. Plus the battle damaged one has so much cool stuff with it.

I think HT spoiled me with BD Mark 3, because as cool as the articulated abs and fingers on the mark 4 are, I just can't get myself to buy because I want more stuff for my money like what I got from the BD mark 3.

They will really kit out the vi with all the weapons im sure, so best to hold out for that one, but the iv may be the cleanest look we get as i expect the vi will be battle damaged,i have the iv on pre-order myself, but once i have it i'm going to see how the articulated hands look on the bdm3, might be worth getting a second pair to give to him if they fit which id imagine they would.

Thanks, I figured it was easy... just didn't want to mess up my new toy

I have to say, I much prefer this version to the original. The first figure is badass... but HT really outdid themselves on the BD version.

Just be careful with those magic erasers. If you rub too hard, they CAN take paint off. I've seen it.

Oh, wish I had read this post before using it... It took of the paint mark, but it also took off some battle damage, not too much, but his shoulder looks a little bit cleaner then others. On well, better then a big white smear.

This was my first a favorite Hot Toys figure. I'm excited to see how much they improve the iron man figure when Mark IV is released or at least when we get to see more pictures.

Wish I'd had the $$$ when this guy was released. This thing is freakin awesome from all the pics I'm extremely jealous. I guess Ill have to settle for the next Ironman The only Ironman fig I want more than this guy would be the Mark 1, that guy is crazy good

Thought I'd share some pics of my BD MK III. I modded the neck to make it shorter,(cut off the balljoint post all togeter, then countersunk a magnet where the post was, trimmed the red rubber gasket flat and added a magnet in the neck, like the DX02) and I painted the black accents(eyeliner) around the eyes to make it more accurate. The one thing that always bugged me about the HT IM was the bugged out eyes, I always thought the masked looked more menacing with the correct black accents around the eyes for the more squinty look. Hope you enjoy!
